I said to make a good fighter look like a can is very impressive. Marvin is a legitimate, proven top 5 guy and Jared beat the crap out of him. Good fighters have been made look bad before and it doesn’t mean they’re bad fighters.

I was convinced Marvin was going to get knocked out when his mouth was hanging. I waited the whole fight and it never happened because he’s so damn tough
 
Marvin Vettori is with the wrong camp. He’s training with an out dated style of corner. He got the BJJ specialist and Boxing specialist in his corner, he needs someone that will put it together for him. Something seems off in his game plans.
 
I don't see a bet slip, just a "i told you so" after the fact thread. Failed thread.
 
Adesanya fought him twice and didn't/couldn't finish him. He's known for his durability and stamina. Very difficult to put away. Cannonier didn't look like a world beater in the Strickland sparring match either. I think a lot of people (including me) picked Vettori for that reason.

Just watching the fight for the first time now. Marvin is an animal. Most men would have died in the 2nd Round from a fraction of those blows.

he’s 39. Laid an egg in his biggest opportunity ever. he’s not any better from last year. Vitorri sucks. He’s like a Frankenstein but can’t harm you.

It’s the mw division being so horrible these 3 guys are viewed as elite

One of the reasons I picked Vettori is that I simply didn't expect that level of output from Cannonier.

Not only has he never come close to reaching those numbers before, but I didn't account for the exponential improvement in his all-round game, either.

I think the narrative that Vettori is a very average middleweight is a little unfair to Cannonier. Vettori is one of the best, but Cannonier lit him up last night.
 
There's just some fighters I will always pick no matter who they are facing. Vettori is one of them. I just like the guy. Dunno about everyone else

I don't think anyone saw Cannonier putting on a performance like that. He's notoriously low output, which the always active Vettori should have been able to take advantage of. Was a phenomenal performance by Cannonier.

What a weird hindsight post. Because on another night he would have finished Jared in rd1

I wasn’t paying attention beforehand, but my guess (to the extent that your characterizations is accurate) would be that Cannon generally wins by knockout and MV is a grinder who is hard to knock out.

Yea it’s this. Sometimes guys level up. When that happens, people don’t have to apologize for not randomly predicting it.
