Why some countries don't have any/more fighters in the UFC ?

Same can be said about the UFC or MMA in general
I see UFC's popularity growing more worldwide than NFL's, who has been around for longer and never picked up in the majority of the world. as a Brazilian i can tell you the majority here see it as an "american thing" that you guys made to be good at it because you can't play football, and thats probably what Argentina thinks too :p

Ha. You'd make more money in the shitty ass swedish allsvenskan than in Dana's big leagues

Wrestling isn't super popular in that many countries and is a super solid MMA base.

Wrestling is still pretty big worldwide. Most of the great wrestlers comes from countries that just doesnt get much exposure. How many of you have heard of Artur Taymazov, one of the greatest athletes on earth? Yet you know Brock Lesnar, who, wrestling wise, isnt worthy to clean Arturs dirty undies.

MMA is only for the big and strong. Everyone felt sorry fot the rest of the world...now we have fw and bw and people are talking about freaking 125lb now?

The rest if the world is built like itty mice.

Now watch some moron cry
"Tey 125lb can whoop ut keyboardwarier"

Sorry but reality is, is that just because YOU are a skinny nobody on the internet doesnt mean everyone else is.

So inly twerps post online. The average American is built like a ww or lhw...maybe not in skills but size.

The biggest and strongest athletes usually comes from eastern europe. Wrestling have always been dominated by Russia and former soviet republics, aswell has Olympic Weightlifting to some extent.

Americans and Brazilians are more violent in general, European societies are more developed and civilized. Random drug testing has been around for many many years among elite athletes in most european countries, while USA just started with it and Brazil from what I know, don't have random drug testings. That could be some of the reasons at least.

Wrestling is not mma...

Yeah russia and its daughter esstern europe have come up woth good fighters....but they have ti go through allot of mediocreness until anyone decent is found.

Being a big lumpy ogre will only get you so far.

America will always dominate and brazil too.

Yeah I understand the promotion part of what you're saying (although didn't agree with it completely - everyone likes a good ol' rags to riches story regardless of where the person is from). I thought you meant you wouldn't pay to watch a fighter from a small country...even if he's the champ? Seems a bit extreme.
First case, People pay because they can identify themself to a champion who look same as them. UFCs Big market is usa at the moment, and majority white people.
Mighty mouse is not popular, because he olay the good guy.
JONES is very popular since he plays the bad guy card.
OR second case, THEY like to hate or to be fascinated by a bad boy. In this case the fighter can come from small country, but way harder to promote than the first case.
