Valid arguments can be made about how the influx of refugees are overwhelming the capacity of Sweden to absorb and integrate them. Unfortunately there are a ton of douchebags in the WR that create their own narrative about how Sweden is now a dangerous country, or that its going down in flames. Nope, not offended by your ignorance, nor surprised, just saddened. What is the motivation for Sweden's own published statistics to serve as "apologist" to anyone? Their government consistently maintains that it's being poor that leads to crime just like pretty much every single other country in the developed world and not country of origin.

Was this article even attempting to look honest?

It would help if he actually made that claim, rather than saying "did you see the report last?", and also if there weren't refugee riots in Sweden the very next night.

It's also hard to take seriously the claim that it's still a peaceful and mostly crime-free country, then 2 sentences later say that a newspaper looked at data of 500,000 crime incidents over just 3 or 4 months in a country with fewer than 10 million people, right after saying they refuse to even keep data on race or national origin of the people doing it, but they magically came up with 1% number of something that isn't even kept track of.

I can't even keep up with what the claims are. Is it that there isn't crime, or that ethnic Swedes just decided out of the blue to suddenly start raping more? I mean I know what the end goal is, that refugees are awesome and everyone should want to fill up their countries with low-skilled people from the 3rd world, but their path to try and prove it took so many winds and turns and false statements that it was pretty unconvincing.

I have 6 Swedish friends and none of them live there anymore, and my one friend's parents moved away to Spain a few years ago because they said Stockholm is nothing like what it used to be 20 years ago. There are still some decent places, like I don't think Gothenburg has gone that far downhill, but the number of shitty neighborhoods around the outskirts of Stockholm has gone way up. I don't even know if there were any bad neighborhoods in Sweden in the 90s. BTW, we're mostly dudes talking about this, and on an MMA site, so I doubt there's much concern by anyone for their own safety. I've been 6'4 with some MMA training for like 15 years and been shooting guns for like 25, so of course the concern isn't for myself. You don't have to type out an answer to me, just ask yourself if you'd be comfortable with your wife or daughter(if you have one) walking through refugee neighborhoods.

According to a study made by BRÅ (The Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brottsförebyggande rådet - Brå) - an agency under the for research and development within the judicial system.) With an adjustment for socio-economy, the overrepresentation decreased from a factor of 2.5 to 2.1 (approximately 20%).

So being poor just doesn't cut it as an explanation for overrepresentation in crime statistics. When it comes to violent crimes and rape, certain groups are extremely overrepresented in the crime statistics while other immigrant groups are on the same level as ethnic Swedes or even lower.
