The HW division is so lacking in footwork that all a guy has to do is bounce the whole fight, throw a lot of jabs and run backwards anytime he's attacked and it's considered revolutionary. Sooner or later any one of these guys with enough wind is just going to run forward with more than two punches and this Gane train will come to a screeching halt.

Ya, so did UFC back then. And often on time delay (JMMA not UFC). And no YouTube. It was a different time

I’m a big Pride fan, but actually over half the Pride cards were pretty lame. Most remember the best 7 or 8 cards, kinda remember the mediocre 5, and forget the shitty 20 or so.

But those best 7 or 8 will never be paralleled again.

Cro Cop had very rudimentary stand up for MMA. Gane would piece him up easily and Francis would just knock the fuck out of him. DIfferent levle.
