Why pay for a training camp if you make 12k/12k in the UFC?

i'm certainly in that demographic.

they have the right to claim to have the best collection of mma fighters in the world. they are correct. it does not mean that they have every single top fighter in the world. if you see their marketing and feel duped that one fc or bellator may have some ufc caliber fighters then you're the fool to begin with.

I spelled it out for you. I will no longer argue as I do not believe you are over 35. Much of what you asked, I already answered in the post.

You ask: Some fighters don't make alot of money, does that mean they shouldn't fight?

Answer kflo (and I did a copy/ paste from my post): They should either be FORCED to work for table scraps in a feeder league built by Zuffa/ the UFC, or allowed to prove they aren't "bums" in other minor league MMA organizations for peanuts.

You can disagree, that is fine, but this is still my answer!

The point is that I am NOT duped by the marketing of the UFC. Again I clearly stated that we need to compare apples to apples. Again copy/paste:
(UFC preliminary card fighters )financial compensation should NOT be compared to minor league preliminary fighters. At UFC demand, their Preliminary fighters MUST be compared to the smaller MMA organization(s) main card fighters, and should be making MORE THAN THEM!! You are attempting to make it sound like I inferred that the UFC preliminary fighters should be compared to smaller leagues champion(s) or main event fighters. I did not.

We should compare the UFC preliminary card fighters to other MMA organization main card fighters. Yes, I understand a couple of "stars" in other organization(s) being on the level of UFC main card fighters. I am still baffled as to why this should change the UFC Prelim fighters not being compared to smaller MMA organizations main card fighters.

At UFC demand, their Preliminary fighters MUST be compared to the smaller MMA organization(s) main card fighters, and should be making MORE THAN THEM!!
How much are the smaller MMA orgs paying their fighters then?

Show us numbers and sources please.

But you are playing with your HEALTH and BRAIN... not telling knock knock jokes at the comedy store.

Stand up comedy takes a big toll on your health and your brain. Read Jackie Gleason's story about getting into a brawl in New Jersey with a heckler who turned out to be Tony "Two Ton" Galento.

At UFC demand, their Preliminary fighters MUST be compared to the smaller MMA organization(s) main card fighters, and should be making MORE THAN THEM!!
Since you probably won't respond, I did your work for you . . .

WTF.... #BUMFIGHTSTATUS

??? how on earth should they be FORCED????? why???? it's an absurd position.

again, the idea that every single ufc fighter needs to make more than every main card fighter for any other org is fuckin absurd. it's laughable. josh thompson is a main event fighter. shlemenko is a main event fighter.

We should compare the UFC preliminary card fighters to other MMA organization main card fighters. who are the smaller mma org main card fighters you are talking about, and how much do they make? and why should every prelim fighter make more than them? you're position makes zero sense. especially coupled with your position that there are too many in the ufc and most should make less. you just want a smaller roster, and less fights.

If I was making that Bum Fight Money the only training camp I would have is a Heavy bag and P90x.

I would not have a manager either.

I would put little to no effort in the fight either.

I would throw a haymaker and if I miss take a dive and collect my 12k to show and my $2500 in Reebok money.

I would like to know what the point is of putting in all this effort (Camp, management and putting on a three round war) for no money?
Most likely t improve and make more money down the line

Are you serious?! The more fights you win the more money you will start making. Not rocket science

Because its an investment. If you can use a training camp to go 4-0 with 3 finishes you can climb to be ranked in the top 5 and parlay that into a 24/24 offer.

But yea fighters are paying too much for training as a whole based on their paycheck size. Beast like Rothwell probably don't have to spend much with his own gym. Probably just spends some money to pay bodies to bang on.

I'm convinced you're either a decent roll, or a retarded Tank Abbott.

Weight classes. Obviously, it is ridiculous for an athletic male over 200 pounds to ever fight in MMA. [PERIOD!] The financial opportunities freely given to these individuals clearly makes this career path an extremely poor choice for them. This pretty much spans the MW, LHW & HW divisions in the UFC..

- There is no form of MMA that is contested in the NCAA/ NIT collegiate level offering full athletic scholarships to academic institutions.
- The majority if not all mainstream sports in NCAA that do grant full "athletic" scholarships to smaller males are not conducive to MMA success. A college degree however makes the $$$ peanuts you mention silly to forgo a career in industry.
- Small males that are not mentally gifted enough to qualify for full scholarships to college, or cannot afford college may be more attracted to this type of employment.

Lol at this nonsense. Mike Pyle just made 166,000 his last fight as a mid level Ufc fighter.

It's nearly impossible to become an elite athlete at the highest level.

The average Ufc salary, not including sponsors, is like 80k.
Somehow all sherdog posters make huge money and feel the 250-300 k Pyle will make this year is peanuts.

I won't even get into the elite big money fighters who are making millions a fight, or in Conor or Rondas case tens of millions.

I make more than 80k sitting at home pretending to work.

And I don't have to wear those dumb shirts. lol
