Why only in MMA do the champs or fighters in the lower weight divisionst get called manlets?

First of all, they’re called manlets because they’re manlets, and they’re manlets because God thought it would be funny to make tiny little men for normal sized men to dunk on. Facts.

Second, most dudes down to lightweight and even some featherweights are normal sized, despite being manlets. They cut a lot of weight, but they walk around significantly heavier, and after they retire they become normal sized fatasses.

Of course they can i have too but the point I'm making is in a street fight pantoja would lose to some guys you know. Its the way it is. Aspinall would not.
I think Pantoja fucks up anyone who isn't extremely large and athletic.

I've seen a bantam weight pro best the living shit out of a 220 pound karate black belt who wanted to spar hard.

Granted ... karate...but that's a guy with at least some training.

He got left groaning on his knees from a liver shot from a so-called manlet.

These Sherdoggers throwing that term around would get wrecked by these guys.

But in boxing all time greats and good fighters like Roberto Duran, SRL, Pacquiao , Mayweather, Cotto , Monster, Pernell Whitaker, JMM, Barrera, el terrible etc..are revered and spoken upon with the reverence they deserve? I don't know browsing through that latest Henry thread got me thinking. Is it that MMA is relatively new compared to boxing or are MMA fans just douchier? Don't get me wrong I love both sports equally but there's something about some of these MMA fans that I guess don't appreciate the skill and discipline it takes to get to the highest level of the sport. Not to mention all the attention on here for Connor out carousing again tmz like threads.I'm sorry I rarely post and this was just a random rant.
Cejudo has tiny t-rex arms and is 4 or 5 inches shorter than Floyd.

I mean look at him:

Okay you need to go back in MMA history.

The OG events were dominated by roided up meatheads. That's how the whole thing was marketed. For a while we had lightweights and it was awesome, but during the dark ages it all went away and back to "me like him big".

But then the UFC got popular (thanks TUF) and suddenly you had 145'ers trying to get shots at 170 because that's all you could do.

So back comes the lightweights.... But that doesn't jive with everything they've been selling. Purists rejoice and accept them back but if you were wearing an Affliction shirt it was presumed you could beat up most lightweights.

And that's never really gone away. Lightweights didn't get major acceptance until they introduced even smaller guys who've become the new target. UFC should probably have a 105 men's division just so the flyweights look like beefcakes.
Just making shit up. Is that your MO?

It's ridiculous to compare the two and I believe your confusing the issue on purpose. I really think your being disingenuous. The beauty of HW LWH MW one strike can end it.

They’re just such low level athletes. Soccer and boxing get all the good ones of that size

untrained tall guys feel better when they call them manlets bcs deep down they know these manlets would break them in half front of their gf (if they wanted to do so)

Because there's a heavy grappling influence here. When you see two freshman sized adults grappling, you're just a foot or two away from midget wrestling, and it starts to become funny.

Because the avg MMA "fan" is a casual type.. has never trained for any prolonged period of time, doesn't live the lifestyle most fighters do in regards to health and living out dreams. So they dont comprehend size for some, means nothing and has never been a hindrance. While in their own life, a smaller person, they see as weaker, etc..

Yet the avg Boxing enthusiast, understands the sport, trains in Boxing for fun, for fitness, or for the skills, etc.. and has followed Boxing from regional local shows to the big events. So the avg Boxing fan is familiar with whom they are paying to watch fight. Whereas the avg MMA "fan", doesn't know half the people on a any given card on a big name promotion such as the UFC.

Boxing fans tend to grow an appreciation for the Boxer, regardless of size and record. While MMA "fans" are quick to switch up on a fighter they were once rooting for. Boxing fans are happy with a Floyd Mayweather style fight, as they grasp the skill and tactics used. While the avg MMA "fan" talks crazy when a fight takes place on the ground for the most part and glorify one dimensional fighters such as Gaethje and Alex, because they throw big punches but don't or rarely use a full MMA skill set. Gaethje has Wrestling and openly says he won't use it and rather stand to bang.

What self respecting man would fight in a 105lb division?

205 and lower are manlets. That's just how it is

There was a point in time when all the UFC champs were manlets, Oct 2018:

FLW: Cejudo - 5'4"
BW: Dillashaw - 5'6"
FW: Holloway - 5'11"
LW: Khabib - 5'10"
WW: Woodley - 5'9"
MW: Whittaker - 5'11"
LHW: Cormier - 5'11"
HW: Cormier - 5'11"

Whittaker & DC claimed to be 6 ft but we all know they were 5ft11 lol
