Elections Why is there record breaking early voting?

this is fantasy. no one gives a shit about kamala harris lmao any visceral reaction in this election is solely on trump, whether positive or negative.

I’ve also gone from not really liking her during 2020 primaries, as I thought she and others on the stage were stealing Bernie’s thunder, to accepting her as anyone but trump, and now into a fan of hers. I think she is genuine and actually cares about outcomes, humble enough to know she doesn’t know more about everything, wise enough to listen to other perspectives in order to make informed and correct decisions, strong enough to stand up to any adversary.
She’s a very impressive woman who’s dedicated her life to public service.
 
I think part of it is that republicans wised up that demonizing mail in voting/early voting isn't a winning strategy. A lot more republicans are voting early and by mail than any previous election. Add to it that a lot of people are worried about election day nonsense from freaks doing shit like 'policing the polls' means more early voting.
 
I was watching tv and this commercial came on for “white dudes for Harris”
It resonated with me , so I’m glad I waited and didn’t early vote because I changed my mind because of that ad

Trump said early voting is so good, it is cheating. It is like hitting a double in Olympic judo. Plus, GOP is trying to make voting day as shitty as possible by sending the lines to vote across the street, so it is better to get it done when you can.

I’m not gonna try and tell you who to vote for. I’m in a swing state and can’t afford casting a vote for trump by voting for a cat. I do think she will be a fantastic president if she wins.
 
It's been very heavily promoted both online, in ads, and by the candidates. I don't remember it being a thing before or at least being clealry communicated as a possible option.

I'm in my 40's and didn't realize "voting early" was really a thing until my wife told me last week she voted with zero lines, no wait at all, etc.

People are fishing a bit too much for some underlying edge on who all these votes are for. Most likely, it's normal people who remember having had to wait 45 minutes, an hour, more...and now see they can stop in at their local city hall for 5 minutes a week earlier and not worry about waiting.

2020 had issues with polling places in which some places got shutdown for a variety of reasons and a water pipe busted so people are not taking any risks.

I’m leaning towards the “stolen election “ at 4 am because for the first time, Republicans are leading the charge in the numbers by quite a bit
Independents are way up too
But with no pandemic to interfere, no “6 feet apart and facemasks” the voting machines “fixed “ or at least independently tested for accuracy, voting laws reviewed and changed in some cases, I’m curious what you guys think it is ?
Mail in voting is down slightly, i think that was a Covid thing in 2020

Tbf we don’t know who’s responsible for that yet. The proud boy’s have a home base a few miles north of Portland. They just don’t come out much since they got their literal, actual asses kicked by a bunch of lefties last time they tried to start shit
