Why is Robbie Lawler fighting Tyrone Woodley? Who wants to see that fight?

Yeh think they were saving Lawler for someone but it fell through, probably wanted to give him a break after the whole condit thing hoping he can rebound off of this.
 
Condit deserves it. I'd rather him retire as the champ instead of the guy who should be the champ.
 
i'd rather see cerrone lawler tbh, one more slug fest before Wonderboy takes his rightful place as champoin.

Thompson needed another big win, but it's OK for Woodley to get the shot coming of a win vs Kim and a split decision vs Gastelum? That doesn't make sense.

Also, Wonderboy is Pig Rig's first legitimate loss since Rick Story.

Wonderboy was on a 6 fight win streak coming into this fight with Rory, while Woodley is 4-2 with losses to Shields and Rory.

Maybe you're slow or something.

Woodley was promised a title shot and Hendricks was a contender for years and fought in title fights. Wonderboy hasn't accomplished that yet.

He needed another big name win and that's what he got. I don't see the problem here. Not everyone needs to be rushed into a title shot instantly.

Because Woodley was putting it on Condit before Carlos got hurt and Hendricks can't say no to second helpings. He deserves it

Why should Wonderboy need another "big name" when Woodley hasn't beat any big names besides Condit (who got injured and was over 2 years ago)? You counting Koscheck as a big name? The guy who is on a 5 fight losing streak?

The UFC even had Wonderboy ranked above Woodley before the Rory fight lol. There is just no logic that makes the Woodley/Lawler fight make sense. Woodley is boring as fuck, coming off a mediocre performance that was a split decision over their 12th ranked fighter, and is currently ranked below the fighter that they passed on. Oh, and Woodley hasn't even fought in a 1 and 1/2 years.

Is there any argument for Woodley deserving this fight? I still haven't heard it yet.

So your only argument is that "he was promised?" I'm asking you WHY was it promised.

Funny that you can't stand me because I can look at something logically and point out why it doesn't make sense. This fight is a stupid matchup. You can take your pick on the numerous reasons as to why it's terrible. This is a prime example of Dana and Joe Silva making a shitty fight.

yeah I feel like Woodley-Lawler makes sense from a fairness and everything is right in the world kind of perspective, but of course I'd rather see Thompson-Lawler.

These type threads are always so full of people's personal agendas. This thread is more about starting a pile on of Woodley than anything. Problem with most of you, is someone deluded you into believing you were actually witty, or intelligent.
