Why is Robbie Lawler fighting Tyrone Woodley? Who wants to see that fight?

Why? IS this the type of fight people are talking about when they say that champions should always fight the top contenders according to rankings? How does a fight get made when literally no one wants to see it
 
I dont want to see it and Tyrone shouldnt even be getting the title shot.
 
I just want to see Robbie smash someone. I don't really care who at this point.
 
The only reason I like the fight is I think Robbie can have a really impressive performance here.. Making Wonderboy vs him a much bigger fight than of they were booked previously.

Hopefully Woodley doesn't ruin it... He's got some crazy power, he could land a big punch and finish Lawyer.. Robbie is so much more technical and better standing though.. That would suck if Woodley won

His wrestling is good too but Lawler is a TDD god

If Woodley somehow manages to lay and pray or wall n stall Robbie to a UD, how underwhelming would Woodley/Wonderboy be in comparison to Robbie/Wonderboy.

Wonderboy should have gotten the shot, while Woodley should have fought Maia. And Rory should have fought someone a little lower ranked, he's been fighting killers his whole career.
 
It would be awesome if Tyrone was out, and Wonderboy was in. or Lawler/Condit 2

Dana should of offered GSP a boat load of money to fight lawler at ufc 200, instead we get this crap fight.
 
Well the other option was wonder boy who at the time arguably needed one more big win.

lawler is fighting woodley because the ufc doesn't give a shit who you or anyone else thinks should fight. rankings in the ufc are just fancy numbers for the nerds and regardless in what people believe have little to do with the matchmaking. the ufc will create the fights that they believe will result in the most ppv buys and that is it.
it's an entertainment company not a sports league.

implying lawler vs woodley will geenreate any ppv buys

that's exactly my point, give us fights that will result in buys not this crap
 
This is one of those fights which make you hope for an injury to happen.
 
Basically because they had promised him a title shot and it kept getting put off.
 
Tyrone Woodleys mom is pretty excited for it.
