Why is MMA striking so sloppy?

He is very wild and sloppy in most of his fights. Boxing fans even admit this, and he is at the highest level possible. 'Good boxer' LMAO, wonder what the bad ones look like.

Grappling is alot more important in the ufc.

You can have aweful striking, with an above average ground game you can still win fights.


And the ufc has too many low level fighters. Too many fighters period.

Sometimes its though lack of ability but also the nature of the sport means that MMA striking looks different to boxing or kickboxing. In those sports is MUCH easier to have a tighter guard with the larger gloves and lack of grappling, in MMA though your far more open and a lot of strikes that wouldn't work in other sports do.

Most obviously looping punchs are far more effective in MMA, the kind of short that would deflect harmlessly off of boxing gloves can sneak though with MMA gloves.

What is TRULY ironic is, you are mocking MMA striking, but have you seen what fucking happens when a kickboxing (alot of MMA strikes are kickboxers) fights a boxer? Kickboxing world champ vs boxing world champ at heavyweight and literally 1 headkick was thrown to start the fight and boxer gave up. Youtube it. A 70% power headkick at most and he went NOPE i am done. Never seen him do that in boxing. Fight lasted 10-20 seconds.

Compare Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva to Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson, the latter two are leagues better and the same comparisons can be made in any division. 10 years ago, MMA fighters didn't even jab except for BJ Penn and GSP.

How so? Kickboxing world champ beat heavyweight champ in 1 shot. The best you could show me was a bum 5/4 kickboxer getting beaten by a boxing champ with 50 KO's.

I know a few boxing coaches personally, one of them is a friends dad who watches MMA too. He KNOWS that headkicks can just fly in and clip you, especially if you throw like Debumtay Wilder whos 40/0 and 35 of his fights are padded. Hasn't he only fought like 2 or 3 top ranked guys?
