For a hot second it looked like Khabib was going to be pulled from this card entirely after Ferguson pulled out.

Then in typical Cerrone fashion, Donald offered to fight Khabib with pretty much no notice. Khabib appeared to be okay with it, but now I'm hearing that the fight is not happening and Dorcher is the replacement.

This guy is a prospect, but with pretty much zero notoriety and this will be his UFC debut. Was there really nobody who could fill in at 155 for this fight? Supposedly Khabib and Donald was going to be at 170 because of the short notice, weight cut and all of the rest of it.

Why is this fight not happening?

Khabib is fighting a nobody?

Jesus h Christ.

If the guy is going to maintain a high ranking while fighting once every two years, then how the fuck is he going to fight a newbie???

This is such horseshit.

Probably because UFC wasn't willing to make it happen. I saw some nonesense about Khabib saying Cerrone pulled out, and Cerrone saying he didn't. UFC probably fed some bullshit to both guys because they were too cheap to make it happen.

This is the million dollar question right now.

Miscommunication on someone's end. Cowboy isn't hurt.

Do we not think that this is a little bit convenient?

Like, if Cerrone beats the brakes off of Khabib (don't think it would have happened) then Cerrone is right back at the top of the mountain at 155. He just got beat to shit by RDA a few months ago, he's also recently gone to 170.

The more I think about it I cannot help but think it's another UFC doing "what's best for business" situation. I don't believe Khabib or Donald pulled out.

I think Greg talked to Cerrone and convinced him to back off, think about it if Cerrone losses to Khabib which may very well happen (especially on 10 days notice) where his carreer will be going? It`s all about being careful and making the right choices for your carreer because we all know the UFC doesn`t give a fuck about you.

I don't agree with this, purely because he's clearly admitted defeat at 155, he's not really suited to 170 and he's still gone up.

I think this would have been a gift for Donald to jump in there and have a chance at beating a top 5 guy at LW.

That's what Dana thinks about the fans and our wishes.

I had a thread yesterday with a series of tweets from both Khabib and Donald. Both of them said they signed contracts to fight. The UFC has some splainin to do..

This was Donald confirming he signed the contract:

Money. It is much cheaper for the UFC to pay a Nobody minimum wage than to pay Cowboy money.

The UFC can't let fighters get too comfortable.

You also have a point but i wouldn`t be surprise if it was like i said. The thing is i don`t see many reasons why the UFC would lie, if they were afraid that Cerrone defeated Khabib they would never reach out to him in the first place, and i don`t think it was a money problem either, who knows.

Ufc only offers the best fights.

Khabib will be tested by this top prospect.
