Why is Dana pretending they haven't co promoted before

They did it with Pride and Dana got hit with the double-whammy of his fighter losing plus Pride not fulfilling their part of the agreement by sending someone to fight in the UFC in return (if I remember correctly)

Strikeforce folded because of Coker being gullible getting in bed with M-1.

Dana isn’t a idiot like Coker is, there is a reason is still a float and flourishing.

Strikeforce didn't fold, they were sold as a functioning and profitable operation - this isn't an opinion, its now public information pursuant to discovery in UFC's class action.

You may also be unaware that Fedor's 3 Strikeforce (losing) fights were among the highest ratings in their entire run on Showtime.

re: Dana, step 1 is having your best friends be literal billionaires who would invest 30-40 million in losses to subsidize the company getting off the ground. It would also help if they are extraordinarily politically wired casino magnets in Nevada.

They folded.

lol @ all the noobs not knowing they co-promoted with Pride.

People love to make excuses for Dana and the UFC, bunch of shiiiiiiilllllllllllssssssssss. Doesn't matter what the fuck excuse there is, they still co promoted with another company.

UFC has all the leverage, they will continue to exist with or without Francis.

Co-promotion with PFL gives PFL more exposure, why would he want to do that?

Dana co-promoted with Pride back in the day, but his poster boy got wrecked by Rampage, no way would he want that to potentially happen again, with everyone viewing UFC as the top premier org for MMA around the world.

In this case, the UFC equals Floyd, but unlike Floyd, they wont give the other guy a chance cause the other guy has a legit chance to beat their guy, the UFC its the rich kid that dont want the poor kids to beat him at his own game so he doesnt play.

UFC made a good amount from Conor fighting Floyd as well. They knew it was a homerun deal with how big Conor & Floyd were, they pulled 4+ million ppv buys. Jones vs Francis probably breaks 1-1.5 million, even that's being optimistic.

Let me know when Jones vs Ngannou sells 4.3M PPVs.

And again, they were the B side back then, they are the A side here so they prefer to not do it, also with how low the UFC shares, they would make massive money from 1.5 million buys.

Why does everyone all of a sudden care so much about Francis? Nobody bought the damn boxing PPV and he sure as hell didn’t draw in the UFC.
UFC got burned by Pride when they tried to co-promote. UFC sent Chuck over but Pride never reciprocated. Dana and Lorenzo vowed to never do it again.
The Floyd/McMidget fight was a quick money-grab.

Man I remember those goofball m1global Co promotion threads
