Strikeforce folded because of Coker being gullible getting in bed with M-1.
Dana isn’t a idiot like Coker is, there is a reason is still a float and flourishing.
They folded.Strikeforce didn't fold, they were sold as a functioning and profitable operation - this isn't an opinion, its now public information pursuant to discovery in UFC's class action.
You may also be unaware that Fedor's 3 Strikeforce (losing) fights were among the highest ratings in their entire run on Showtime.
re: Dana, step 1 is having your best friends be literal billionaires who would invest 30-40 million in losses to subsidize the company getting off the ground. It would also help if they are extraordinarily politically wired casino magnets in Nevada.
In this case, the UFC equals Floyd, but unlike Floyd, they wont give the other guy a chance cause the other guy has a legit chance to beat their guy, the UFC its the rich kid that dont want the poor kids to beat him at his own game so he doesnt play.
And again, they were the B side back then, they are the A side here so they prefer to not do it, also with how low the UFC shares, they would make massive money from 1.5 million buys.UFC made a good amount from Conor fighting Floyd as well. They knew it was a homerun deal with how big Conor & Floyd were, they pulled 4+ million ppv buys. Jones vs Francis probably breaks 1-1.5 million, even that's being optimistic.
