Why is Dana pretending they haven't co promoted before

If you can’t see the difference between co promoting a boxing match with McGregor when the ufc is not inboxing and has never had anything to do with Floyd, and co promoting an mma event when they are the premier mma organization and had Francis signed as their hw champion, idk what to tell you.

Kids - that is what a run on sentence looks like.

Back when the ufc was the bottom bitch to pride Dana didn't even hesitate to spread cheeks and give em Chuck and others

And getting all pissy with reporters?

As a journalist that's when you know you asked a legitimate question, when Dana gets butthurt and starts name calling

Francis vs Jones is the only fight at HW

Come on, that's a whole different scenario. First, it was in a completely different sport and not even an mma fight. The revenues were massive and there was no downside for the UFC.

There really is no upside to doing Francis vs Jones Co-promotion for the UFC. They risk too much and not worth it.

This was when Zuffa owned Strikeforce...

The concise answer is they'll co promote when they feel like it benefits them. They will not co promote with an org they consider inferior and/or can be considered their competition.

Co-promoting has never worked out well for the UFC. Dana has basically scoffed at it every time it's ever been suggested.

The Connor versus Floyd thing he was basically forced into and he lost his most valuable asset for years. Pride burned him.

And from a business perspective it's all downside. The UFC champ is generally considered by the wide audience to be the world champ. Why bother risking that? To prove that the UFC is better than the PFL? Everyone already assumes that by default. To get half of a fight that's twice the size while putting a competitor into the pay-per-view business?

The reporter should have said

" No it wasn't a stupid question ,...you gave a stupid response. Nnganou is the baddest man on the planet and the MMA world wants to see him face jones. Is that clear Dana?"

Dana probably would have respected f the balls on the reporter and hired him.

that was a Pride event with a ufc fighter in it. I don’t think you understand what’s co promotion is.

See Strikeforce/M1 Global when Fedor fought.
All iam saying is ufc has co promoted before. On more than one occasion.
Him acting like a dick to reporters who are asking the tough questions for the fans when everyone wants to see Francis vs Jones.
Dana being Dana. Calls the reporter an idiot
Completely unprofessional

I don't know why anyone would expect Dana to be professional lol

It's not unlike Dana to be a complete asshole. I think he's tired of the Francis questions and lashing out with calling reporters idiots.
And its not even ariel this time

they did with pride.

Dana won’t co-promote anymore because Chuck didn’t follow the gameplan and it cost them. Unfortunate, but that’s just how it is.

having a signed UFC fighter, currently under exclusive contract, fight in a competing organization, and promoting that (which they did) is the definition of co-promotion.

this.. plus the UFC is under completely different ownership and Dana doesn't make those kind of calls anymore.
