Why is Chandler regarded as a top fighter?

Because he’s a top 5-10 guy who puts on a banger every time win or lose, and has the skills to beat almost anyone on a good night. He might not ever win the belt but he’s exactly the kinda guy that Dana wants to be floating around in the title picture.

Chandler could be 4-0 in the UFC if he fought smarter instead of going for entertainment value. He almost finished Oliveira in their title fight and despite fighting Justin in the dumbest way possible for him it was still a very competitive fight.

Yea I think Chandler is pretty overrated. Obviously he's an entertaining fighter and clearly isn't some bum but I've seen people around here claim he's a bad matchup for Islam which is just ridiculous. The guy had about a round and a half of cardio against Gaethje and just started taunting him for the rest of the fight

Fought 4 top 10 guys and did really well against all of them. Definitely top 10 material guy. But Chandler Poirier Gaethje might leave the top 5 soon. Can't squat forever.

Why? I can get Dustin as a top fighter as he really is great. But chandler? Dude is past his prime and he is 2-2 in ufc. Is it because he is entertaining? Gaethje has been doing it for far longer.
It's pretty surprising tbh. Guy is still top 5, with wins over Dan and Tony.

He's really good fighters and has a better shot against Islam than the majority of top15 LWs
 
He's very good. His ground defense is also very good. Never been subbed. His chin and cardio have failed em, though. A coin flip on referees would have stopped that Oliveira fight and he would have been champ.

top 5 UFC but left bellator and wasn t even a title holder........ does not make sense....... but but but he almost beat........ almost doenst mean shit. you either do or you dont.
