Opinion Why is "anti DEI" and "anti-woke" a POTUS top priority?

Well actually…Covid deniers and antivaxxers were given sources of information for how they were affected by a virus and they still didn’t believe it.

Actually it does though. You being convinced that transgender people are all mentally ill and get jobs they don’t qualify for is no different than a COVID denier being convinced vaccines are bad and that Covid isn’t real.

If you really believe transgender people are all mentally ill and weren’t qualified for their positions, I challenge you to find legitimate sources to support that claim.

Corona virus is actually real though.

The vaccines are of questionable efficacy and don't really meet the definition of a vaccine. Well, until we changed the definition of "vaccine" to fit it.

it's not really the top priority, it's the one that get the most media coverage because thats what his base want to hear, his tops priorities are israel and giving money to his billionaires friends, so as long as he "protect the children from the LGBT people" his followers will be fine with everything harmful he actually does to them (his followers, not the children, to be clear) , they will even cheer for it

Until very recently, "gender identity disorder", was classified as mental illness. Thus barring them from service. Perhaps we are returning to that position.

Yup. Homosexuality was in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) from 1952-1974. It’s sad to see a first world government taking such regressive steps, even worse under the guise of populism.

DEI is obviously a major target for the right, as they perceive it to be unfair to white people, even though many white individuals are included under DEI principles. It's important to remember that MAGA is fundamentally a white identity movement.

Do you recall when CRT (Critical Race Theory) was the big target? Now it's been replaced by DEI. It'll be interesting to see what the next focus will be.

Woke is a term that is in reference to the awareness of systemic discrimination and oppression. So anti-woke is the opposite of that. Therefore anti-woke is the intentional ignorance of and perpetuation of systemic discrimination, which is destructive and divisive by definition.

In other words, believing in “anti-woke” is prejudice, following through on that prejudice is nothing short of bigotry. Prejudice and bigotry do not benefit everyone. It’s destructive, in fact.

Diversity, equity, inclusion is the complete opposite of divisiveness. It’s the people that are uncomfortable with it or disagree with it who make it a point of contention and cause for division.

Which begs the question: why are (specific) people uncomfortable with it? What is the perceived threat to them?
