Well they're probably not making an interim title fight because they think Tom is coming back soon, and they're saving Gane for the rematch. An interim belt with Gane on the sidelines would be a joke.

You could make an interim belt between, say, Volkov and Waldo, but then you're supposed to unify the belts, which is a problem because most people would agree that Gane vs. Aspinall 2 is the fight that should be next for both men.

Lol I am completely serious. Waldo is the only one making any noise at HW right now and has been on a hot run and if he beats Lewis, especially by KO he would absolutely be locked in for a potential interim title fight against Volkov/Gane as would Lewis if he KO's Waldo.
