Opinion Why has US President Trump removed sanctions on Israeli settlers?

Yes, I guess this is all a dream then:

There has never been a country called "Palestine". It's a fake name the romans came up with referencing the Philistines as a punishment for the Israelites.

For the past 60+ years, there IS a country called Palestine. But soon to be no more due to Israeli illegal land grab.
If you honestly believe that then there is no point in further discussing this. We will never agree because i share Mosab Yousef's view on the issue.

Be that as it may, your map shows 'Palestine' back in 1946 which was never a country. Even if the Israel supporters agreed that for the past 60ish years, Palestine existed within the land mass as 'country', there was never a country called Palestine prior that.

There was also never an "Israel" in any sense of what we consider a modern country for most of the region's history either. Funny how the Western concept of a country only matters when talking about Palestine.

yep true, but Israel is a country now, whereas Palestine isn't and never has been.

I think I will post opinion a lot of guys here will hate.

1. Republicans always had supported Israel more than Dems.

2. U.S doesn't likes problems in Suez area....
Populists might like isolationists yell that it is european problem ...while problems with Suez might damage U.S seriously.

For example the same Gulf country is producing crude oil etc...while using U.S companies and services, in not rare cases also transport companies ( where ship is registered doesn't matters much ), and then insurance, usually U.K companies....
All this chain in order to transport something via Suez canal.
Etc....$.
U.S, Europe, U.K, India, Gulf countries ( except Iran ofc ), China....Pakistan doesn't want to see problems with Suez Canal....
Cos $....

Hey just think, once the greater Israel initiative is reached. They get to create a new canal and hold complete control of shipping lanes in the area. Thatll benefit the US, right??

And? We deal with conditions as they are, not with what magical maps say. That's partly how we ended up in this mess. By your logic, we should have just picked an arbitrary point in history and never made new countries after that.

Especially Trump...his last presidency when he moved the embassy was one of the catalysts for where we are now.
At least he now has Trump Heights named after him. And a coin minted in his image. What a guy

Dude. The guy said Palestine was a country years before Israel, I just pointed out he was wrong. I'm not here to argue why they are in this mess. I'm not interested in that discussion as there is no way anyone will agree.

I'd like to think Trump hates Bibi and will change course, but we know we always end up kissing that ass.

Israel First (and above America) is the only thing that all American politicians unanimously agree on.

"british mandatory palestine" was a recognized sovereign territory before israel was.

Yep not arguing that it wasn't a territory. Believe I said that in my first response. Still wasn't a country and wasn't a country ' 60+ years' before Israel.
