Why has Dana become a such Jones cuck?

I mean it isn't really a complex reason, Jones is among the best ever in MMA, is a guaranteed draw regardless of opponent.
I'm sure professionally they rarely align but you don't get where Dana is by deciding you hate people and let personal opinions get in the way of shareholder dividends.

Heavyweight has only two names that people recognize as legit champ material. If Jones retires, there goes the only big fight. I don’t even care, so strip Jones already and let’s move on.

Theyre in negotiations for a new broadcast partner and hundreds of millions of dollars and no one outside of Sherdog gives a fuck about this Aspen dude
Jon Jones is a legitimate MMA superstar that puts butts in seats and sells PPVs, having him on the roster as the current heavyweight champion is a great financial incentive for potential investors because you can dangle that fat juicy carrot of a Jon Jones title fight as the first huge PPV under the new contract and a great way to kick off a new billion dollar business partnership
Shit aint no puzzle
lol so ufc is not that popular they need one semi retired fighter to keep attention and interest going soonr or later this tactics will becme boring to mma fans and casualls and they will go to boxing

I think dana realized he's shitty at his only job and he needs the one guy on the roster with any name brand value at all, as miniscule as it is. what else could it be? dana hates jon as much as everyone else does. he apparently is so bereft of marketable fighters that he's willing to spoil an entire division for a fat criminal with two fights in a half decade. it's a very cool company

He soured on Ngannou and needed a new friend. Jones filled that role for a while: he beat Gane easily, talked shit on ngannou for leaving, signed a multi fight contract. It was perfect for Dana at the time, so he became his cuck.

Since then Jones had demanded a fight with retired Stipe, ducked Aspinall, and demanded an unprecedented payday.

UFC could have probably made more money just stripping Jones after the Gane fight, and letting aspinall defend 3-4x by now. UFC london with Tom/Gane and Paddy/Chandler on main and co-main would have been big

They went to a Diddy freak off together?

He's the last of the old guard that was used to previous negotation tactics. Dana has a soft spot and longer leash on the guys that helped build the UFC to a global powerhouse. Its not that hard to picture why JJ gets more leeway than others.

This is one of those theories that sounds good but on paper it's worthless in real life.

Jon Jones has literally no say in the next deal. When you factor in how much of a salary increase he wants what are we talking maybe the event makes at most 20 million more compared to a normal event ?

A multi-billion dollar company signing a billion plus dollar UFC deal isn't going to care about Jon Jones (a guy who's been stripped, dq'd, pop for drugs twice, barely fights) maybe making you an extra 20 million an event it's literally an insignificant amount of money relatively speaking.

People are acting like he's this negotiation tool that's going to make hundreds of millions of dollars which is not reality at least anymore.

"We got that super old champ who maybe, maybe fights for you just ONCE. Maybe not.
But you have to pay him way tot much.
While we have a young guy, that doesn't draw, because we missmanaged his career.
All the while people hate the HW division as much as flyweight"

Great negotiation tactic.
The other guys aren't dumb

I agree with the Jon has dirt on Dana theory, Dana would be verbally destroying anyone else who did this and its not like Jon is a Conor level draw either. Sure, he has stopped with the verbal bj's in every interview, but who else would get away with ruining a division for this long?

Well if you were the head of a company that was going to benefit monetarily from Tom vs Jones you'd cater/play the game also. I'm sure there is breaking point and we are probably approaching that in the next two months. But the bottom line is it appears to be the biggest fight the UFC can make outside of a Conor comeback fight. When I say biggest we are talking literally double the PPV buys of the best other fight they could do more or less, so it is a big deal financially for the brand.

We all know Dana behind the scenes is probably pretty pissed off about it all. He just can't express that at this time publically if he want any chance of pulling this fight off and he gets paid to make these fights happen.

Hes the best ever.

Of course the UFC values him

It sucks

Its sucks since he crushed Shogun

But it is, what it is

He’s the longest raining and most prominent champion thats hung around so long he can bridge the divide between the old and new fans a like. He (Jones) is a decades long investment as far as that guy is concerned.

bc hes a world class businessman who is optimising on the remaining value of the organisation's greatest all-time fighter, the latter having no contest to it.

Jones is in his twilight years so why wouldn't he capitalise on it?

I get that Jon is Dana’s last “star” but he’s almost 40, unreliable as hell and unwilling to do anything other than hold a belt hostage. Tom beating the piss out of him would instantly pass the torch and if Jon ducks him, they can promote Tom to full champ and build a star out of him. He’s got all the makings to be a British superstar and more popular than Jones ever was. Jones was never a draw, even when he’d take actual fights and defend a title.

The ufc tried to promote so many shitty british fighters like Till or even just ok ones like Bisping. Well here they have a young British HW who is must see TV and they’re shelving him for a 40 year old, wife beating LHW duck with a beer gut. It’s bizarre. The TV deal can’t be the reason the UFC is doing this. They fumbled a marketable HW in Francis and were handed another one and are screwing this up too…
