Twood was bad ass and an amazing champion, but that doesn't change that he openly ducked Colby, and judging by their fight, and their history of training together, I can't blame him, he knew what would happen .You seem to have a bone to pick with T-Wood's title run which I didn't mention in my OP
Tbh you might be blinded by hate for T-Wood considering you made up him fighting Wonderboy for a third time(never happened)
I gave Colby credit for when he beat RDA, but dude that was the last he's had a relevant win. Again this fight was all the way back in 2018, his last few wins are discounted because at the time they were all against washed up fighters such as Jorge(0-2 skid, 37 years old), Woodley(0-3 skid, 38 years old) and Lawler(1-3 skid, 38 years old)
Yes as I said it's easy to discount those wins , because hindsight is 2020 however, those guys were all top 5-10 at the time of their ranking...
That's how the sport works, people win, go on streaks, get titles, or title shoots and they generally end up loosing after reaching the Pinnacle of their respective divisions...however it doesn't make the wins less impressive when you look at it through the lens of the time frame the fights happend
Are we going to call Buckley overrated because he just jumped like 5 spots, beating a 37 year old who was 2-3 in his last five?
I don't think Buckley cares, I bet he is ecstatic over this win, and probably ranks it as his best win to date .
