Why don't UFC commentators score rounds?

Most of us do it. We say "that was a 10-9 round for x". I do like how the Bellator commentators put their thoughts out there after each round. UFC commentators rarely do unless it is a passing comment (like "that could be a 10-8 round for x")
Would you like to see this in the UFC?

I would like it, then again, in Bellator i believe is Jimmy Smith the one who does it and he was a pro fighter, Rogan or Goldie are not, and it might not be in their best interest to go against the official decision at times.

Yeah they shoul bring a 3rd guy to do it between round
Like lederman on HBO boxing.
A guy like Mir could do it and bring his insight between round.
would be fun

Well we all do it, so Id just like to see an unofficial guess from the commentators. Obviously no one is counting strikes etc except for the judges, but I'd like to see if my impression of the fight matched up with Rogan's or Stann's for example.

A smart guy like Eddie Bravo scoring the rounds would be interesting

They don't score rounds but they definitely let you know who they think is winning.

I don't see any reason for the commentators to actually, per default, hand out their scoring in numbers. They are doing it anyway by saying things such as: "he probably is behind on the scorecards going into this final round, Mike", and vice versa.

I'd love to see some unofficial scorecards not necessarily by Goldie & Rogan but they can ask somebody like Luke Thomas, Helwani or Chiapetta in between rounds.

Exactly. They almost always say who they felt won the round. It doesn’t take a genius to know that means 10-9 in most cases.
I think we've run out of things to whine about if anyone thinks this is worth bringing up.

Probably because they can't count, especially Rogan

Here in Brazil, they do this in Combate, and that's extremely annoying. IMHO no one cares how a commentator scored the rounds, that's the judge's job.
Besides...
They don't score rounds but they definitely let you know who they think is winning.
This.

Correction: who they want to win.

That’s one of the silliest Sherdog theories out of many silly Sherdog theories.

They don’t over-hype who they WANT to win. They over-hype who they THINK is winning. Still annoying, but not the same thing.

because theyre busy commentating. i think it'd be a fun idea to have a former or current fighter/referee/judge (that isnt currently working of course) and give their opinion between rounds, ala what they did with edgy brav back in the day.
