Why don't MMA gyms properly develop their fighters?

I don't think you ever been in a gym where rolls start from standing. MMA wrestling isn't even wrestling. What you are talking about is just takedowns/defense.
What is preventing you from standing up from your knees in your gym?
Are they not teaching any standup at all? Doesn't your gym have open mat?
Do you have high level wrestlers in your gym? You can't work with them during a roll?

Lol there's a reason why both Jon Jones and DC both have wrestling coaches as cornermen. Obviously you've never been to a wrestling class or know anything about it.

To imply that BJJ class from standing > wrestling is moronic to say the least, and anyone who has ever trained in both wrestling and MMA or has rolled with wrestlers knows this

DC, Jon Jones, Usman, Khabib, Cejudo, Conor, Whitaker all train in Wrestling specifically

You just named all wrestlers with a wrestling background....
I am not saying you are going to ever get as good in wrestling while going to a no gi class with standup but you can definitely have a serviceable game for MMA. MMA wrestling isn't even wrestling. Wrestling has a very narrow ruleset. I don't know how much more I can drill that to your head. If you want to whine about not having any standup without attempting it in the first place while rolling. I don't know what more to say; you seem to think wrestling is all takedowns but you don't understand wrestlers have different games to their approach to wrestling. There are also wrestlers who never shoot a takedown and stall.

Whitaker did not grow up with a wrestling background, fell in love with it after joining MMA and ended up becoming a national champion.

Wrestlers with wrestling backgrounds do not abandon it though, and continue to work on it rather then just do standing BJJ classes.

Standing BJJ classes will not prepare you for the Khabib's, Usman's, ect. And that's the point, sure you can get by for the most part(Tristar does well for the most part), but eventually when your faced vs a top wrestler, its gonna catch up with you, or vice versa when your against a better striker and *need* that TD.

Look at GSP, would he have had the same success in his career by substituting wrestling for BJJ from standing position???

yea Boxing gyms/coaches do things straight out of tradition

most of the time you show up, run 1 mile, hit the bag and go home

coaches wont even look at you unless you are young, appear to be developing good skills so that they can train you, get to the Olympics and make some money $$
