People celebrate easter for what Christianity has influenced them, not because of some connection to other ancient stories. Its the resurrection of Christ.

Doesn”t change the fact that Christians picked the times they did in order to coincide with the pagan holidays that had already been there long before. It’s much like any form of mass propaganda.
