Why does Matt get a pass for ducking Magny?

Canzat realised that Leon would split that rat lip apart again.
He would have to grow Dan Severn mustache after this one.

Did you meet Cro Cop? He looks huge in that picture.

Because khamzat doesn't fight anybody anytime except if it's cans. When it's about ranked fights Ali cherry picks him the most favorable risk to reward fight and khamzat takes that and only that because he's not the super badass that you guys think
Breh, he's the most badass Russian born fighter in UFC history.

Also, how is fighting a higher ranked fighter in Leon Edwards instead of lower ranked Magny ducking?

Did you guys never get taught logic in your life?

I met him on a seperate occasion but thats Douglas Lima and Cro Cop at some Bellator event.
I thought he looked like an OG with the fannypack.

Khazmat = KhazMATT = KhazMATTHEW

let’s just start calling him Matthew

lol, so we're just supposed to know Matt? maybe someone woulda had a better clue if spelled Mat, but I still doubt it

Matt is ducking Magny like his life depends on it.

Magny called him out plenty of times, and honestly Magny is a worse matchup than Leon is for Matt.

Magny is very tall, crisp boxing and has a better bottom game than Leon and probably has better stamina too.

Because independent contractors (like electricians, plumbers, consulting engineers, and UFC fighters) are supposed to pick and choose the jobs they accept -- they're called bad business people if they don't. If Dana wanted them to accept every fight he offered then they should be hired as employees (with all the benefits and restrictions that come with that).

Longer version:
NFL and NHL and NBA and MLB baseball players don't get to pick and choose which games they play, they're employees and are supposed to play whenever and whoever their employers say they play. UFC fighters are independent contractors -- they get no steady paycheck, they have no guarantee of wages or any other benefits, but what they do get is the same freedom any independent contractor gets, to pick and choose among job offers. Go to an electrician and make an offer that the electrician thinks is unfair -- do you think that electrician is going to care about challenge or legacy or anything like that? Of course not, he has a family to feed, and he knows what he's worth.

An NFL player refusing to play against some team would be ducking that team, because he's under contract to play every game and gets paid for the whole year. A UFC fighter refusing to fight some guy the UFC wants him to fight is just doing what all independent contractors do. Dana and the UFC are trying to get the advantages of having employees (ie the right to pick which jobs they do) without the costs (regular pay, benefits). They don't get to have it both ways -- either hire them as full time employees, or live with them picking and choosing which offered fights they accept.

I like Magny, but if you're comparing him to Leon, he is clearly the diet, no sugars, zero-calorie version of Edwards, not the other way around.

anyone think that it is a coincidence that ali manages so many russian fighters that bail on big fights.

Because Magny is a low-profile journeyman. Beating Leon makes Khamzat a front runner for a belt. After that type of opportunity, to then go back down to earth and fight Magny, beating who would get him nothing, is unreasonable.

Khamzat huggers never got taught logic. They told me he was a badass who fought anywhere anytime every month and that rankings do not matter to him. Thank for confirming that he's like any other fighter who weighs risk and reward before taking a fight.

So why is there a thread specifically about Khamzat if they're all the same? Logic 101 class was not in session I see. Khamzat also said he would fight Magny, so I am trying to understand who he ducked. He didn't. It's fine. It's not like a Sherdog poster is going to change Khamzat smeshing the 170 division.
