Why does Conor piss you off?

Ehh. The only thing I don't like is that he gets to keep the LW belt without defending it. And that is more wme's fault than his. They could strip him any moment. There's a reason a guy who just made about 100 mill wont be desperate to take any fights.

He has held UFC belts for a total of over 2 and a half years, ffs. Refusing to defend either one.
 
I don't hate Conor, although I dislike that he has refused to defend a belt for so long. That said, his haters are far, far more annoying than the man himself could ever be. There's a certain group of losers (and many of them reside on Sherdog) who will always find a way to demonize him no matter what he ever does or says.
 
I love Conor, I don't hate him, but he needs to fight. His belt doesn't mean anything right now.

He is a top fighter, but he will lose to Khabib. I hope he cuts all the bullshit and fights at least with Nate, that would be a great fight.
 
Im more annoyed by the ridiculous level of favoritism shown by the UFC than i am by McGregor himself.

I'm also a millennial - as is probably most of sherdog - but yeah, this.

He's one of the most obnoxious people I've ever seen. Just a vapid, obnoxious cretin. He's essentially become MMA's Kim Kardashian.

And his fanbase is the single worst, most clueless, obnoxious fanbase in combat sports history.

I used to be a fan tbh, on his way up. His rise to the top was nothing short of phenomenal, but it's really quite hard to believe anyone is a fan of what he's become.
 
I was never a fan of his style of promotion, but honestly it was his fans and the media that pissed me off more than him. The hyperbole surrounding him was similar to Ronda but he fed it way more than she ever did. Since his fight with Jose, he pisses me off for refusing to defend belts and talking more about his bank account than opponents. This again circles back to his fans and media who talk about his money like it's their own accomplishment when defending his inactivity and refusal to book a fight in the cage.

Edit: I love watching the guy fight though, and when he turns off the persona he actually comes off as a really likable guy. It's just not enough to outweigh the rest because we get it in such contrasting doses.

You need to be a complete fuckwit to not realise he's had bigger fish to fry, funny thing is had Conor just stayed at FW and defended 3 or 4 times since he beat Aldo we'd be getting inundated with threads calling him a pussy for not challenging at a higher weight.

ya the not defending things is one reason for me as well. conor also acts like he better than everyone else. the old conor would never been ducking khabib and tony but the new rich boy conor likes sitting on his butt not fighting.

he learned from Floyd how to troll the media and the die hard fans who kiss the ground he would walk on.

what bigger fish has he fried in the last 2 years. that right none. conor was scared to fight khabib after ufc 205 so for that I lost all respect for him
