Why would you want Conor (or any other fighter for the matter) to earn that kind of money? How does it benefit society? How does it benefit the sport? How does it benefit you personally?

I constantly read people here saying "Conor fought Floyd to earn 100 million dollars" as if it is a good thing, to excuse Conor ducking contenders and not defending for more than a year.

Having that kind of money is nothing but greed, but the worst thing is that his fans don't even get anything from it, they just support it for some reason, even though it's totally immoral and wrong from social perspective, not to mention that it destroys the sport.

It's not just Conor, it's the same thing with Floyd fans and other fans who support this type of fighters and their persona. For some reason they care more about how much money they make rather than the integrity of the sport. Then they openly excuse the ducking and cherry picking because it's "good business".

I don't. I'm a pure hater. He hasn't earned it, either.

It's capitalism, and I can't hate it. If you can make it work, make it work. He put himself in the position to make $100M, through hard work and the utilization of many natural gifts, so he absolutely deserves it. Everybody else is jealous, yes, but also motivated to succeed.

Hey, take as big of a piece of the pie as you can get. Might be no pie tomorrow.

blah blah blah everybody wants to win the lottery and Conor found a way to hit the jackpot that wasn't pure luck. Talking about greed lol, have you never bought something for yourself that wasn't completely necessary? Do you donate all your extra cash to charity? I doubt it.

Any one of us in the same situation offered that kinda dosh for one fight would leap at the chance.
I'd let somebody punch me in the groin for 12 rounds for 100 m.

Well he generated it from his choices in life. So the money was there either way because enough people paid to see it. Would you rather it go to the promoters?

You're either an idiot or a troll. <{hughesimpress}>

I want Conor or any other fighter to earn as much as they can whilst providing entertainment and taking the least amount of damage possible.

How does it benefit society? It provides high level sports entertainment similar to the Football, NBA and NFL. <LikeReally5>

How does it benefit the sport? Potential higher level athletes will be drawn to the sport from a younger age aspiring to be the next Conor, Ronda or Artem. Raising the pay level for all athletes below them aswell due to raising the profile of the UFC and earning them more in TV channel deals, sponsorships etc.

How does it benefit you personally?

Who doesnt want to see their favourite athletes getting paid for putting the mental and physical health on the line to entertain the masses? Unless youre an idiot, providing dangerous entertainment or any kind of service means you should get rewarded. Professionals getting paid doesnt benefit me directly but it directly and indirectly benefits a lot of people.

Somebody has to make that money. Might as well be the fighters.

Go back to kazakistan you commie

I am not a communist but I support the historic socialist regimes from 1945-89 that we had in Eastern Europe because those regimes were nationalistic and national interests were very important. We had strong armies, we were strong in sport and we were saved from the degenerate Western liberalism and SJWs.

If someone behaved like Conor in those GOOD OLD DAYS he would be questioned by the authorities for bourgeois deviancy and delinquency and beat up by police.

Socialist regimes invested a lot in sports and had very good athletes. Socialism is better for sports than capitalism.

Lot of jealous broke bitter bums in this place.

So basically you would be ok having no penis for the rest of your life for a 100mil? I don't know man...

I support it 100 %!

It's a great thing that Conor did.

Not many UFC-fighters can say they did such a feat, getting that fight with Floyd.

I guess it's a cultural thing. Americans and other Anglos seem to be very servile to the rich, they never even had any kind of real social revolution in their countries, so I guess you just have this individualist pro-capitalist mentality. Personally, I just can't understand how anyone can support a single person getting rich to such extent. It doesn't benefit the nation, it creates greed and unhealthy competition inside your own nation and community.

From the sports perspective, it makes the athletes less hungry and less motivated to fight. The result is that Conor doesn't even want to fight anymore.

It would be better for his own good if he didn't have any money because he would then be forced to build a better legacy or do some productive job in society.

Why would I have no penis...I'd be able to have it fixed..and maybe have it shortened a little too, as it's already massive..

I don't mind him earning any amount of money.

I do mind him earning money and then going on holiday for 18 months while he is still hanging on to a belt.
