Why do some people deny that Brock is a fighter still?

Lmao, why is that, because you don't like it? 5 years out of the game,he still beat top 10 guy. Did he not get punched by arguably the strongest puncher in UFC? Did he panic? Tell me,how is this fight not legit? Are the other fights Brock won also not good for discussion?

You're implying Mark Hunt actually landed a clean power shot on his face.

He didn't.

We've seen Brock react when punched clean by a powerful striker. He does this technique called "The Rabbit and the Turtle":

Fake wrestling is NOT fighting!

That said, Brock has 9 or 10 MMA fights and was once the UFC HW champion. He's a fighter. He's been a fighter since his first MMA fight.

because he looks completely inept as a striker. He's just bigger than everyone else that's it.
then change weight classes that some pussy shit of an excuse

brock weighed the same as hunt

What is proper testing? He was tested 6 times before this fight.
Everyone knows what happened and Hunt agreed to it and then complained about is as well as other fighters. They didn't have enough time to do the proper testing on Brock. Hunt was tested way more than Brock over the past few months. Brock wasn't being tested until just recently.

well, if they really dont see him as a fighter, they should just see him as a wrestler who can beat up almost every ufc fighter.

I like and enjoy Brock quite a bit, but let's be honest, he's not a natural fighter in the MMA sense. He's more of an athlete/wrestler that is so big, athletic and good at his craft that he can whoop most people without having to be a natural fighter. To his credit though all this "doesn't like to get hit" talk does stem from fights with some absolute killers on the feet, people he should be afraid to get hit by,
I don't agree. The guy came back after a 5 year layoff to fight. Not because he needed the money. Not because he wanted fame. But because he loves to compete, and wants to see if he has what it takes. The man himself said he's a bully who likes to see how he stacks up against others. He's in it because of passion, and "loves to get his nose dirty". To me that's a fighters mentality.

Tito got knocked down.

Brock has that same reaction when somebody touches his face.

LOL

Nope wrong. Brock does not have the same reaction when hit please stop talking out of your ass.

I know it's hard for you, but please try not to be dumb. How about Randy, Mir, Herrig and Carwin? A bunch of pretenders right? Get out of here, even Cain had an hard time with Brock.

Smaller men.

Carwin punched himself out on Brock's turtle defense.

Well it's probably because he only beat Hunt, who regardless of the fact that he is a top 10 UFC HW, has defended takedowns from a number of opponents, shows great ability to get off his back when taken down and has fought competitively with future and former world title holders, is just a one punch KO guy and ABSOLUTELY nothing more.

Nah, of course they were smaller, but Randy beat Gonzaga and Sylvia and then got finished by Lesnar. Herrig, Mir and Carwin are big guys as well.

You're going by everything Rogan, Dana, and Brock told you. You know how sick that is? A fighter's mentality? Lol. Why did he leave over 5 years ago again? Oh that's right he was sick and was never going to be the same again lol I'm sure you believed that too even after what happened the other night which makes no sense. Face it, Brock left over 5 years ago because he's just a C level fighter. I would only respect him as a fighter if he stayed a while fought several of the fighters that we all know. But he's not going to do that.

Pro-wrestling/WWE hate pretty much

Right, but he is really fighting. UFC threw him to the dogs, and he beat Hunt right off the bat. That's pretty insane considering no other athlete in any sport can do something like that. Mark Hunt is the "walk off" king. Brock made him tentative. That in itself is pretty interesting.

lots of intelliectually below average ppl roaming the net so its not that surprising that some would still think Brock isnt a "real" fighter. He just wins real fights against highly trained opponents..... science, bruh

I want to see Brock beat a top 15 guy with the proper testing(you know the same kind of testing everyone else gets). I seriously doubt Brock sticks around. If he retires now some people will end up calling him a great fighter and that his illness played a big part of him not becoming goat. If he loses then everyone will call it like it is for the most part.
He was tested 6 times in the lead up to this fight. The only thing he was 'exempted' from was the normal waiting period for coming out of retirement, which involves 4 months wait (which is not normal for anyone but fighters returning from retirement). Because he didn't go through that process he was tested more than anyone else in the lead up to the event.

Well if you think about it, why should he? He doesn't need the money they pay him to fight. He makes a lot with the wrestling contracts he has and he doesn't have to get his skull bashed in for brain trauma down the road. It is a lot harder to be motivated to be a workout warrior for the sport when you are already rich? That effected BJ Penn a lot in my opinion. He never had to worry like other fighters. Brock's a fun character to watch, and the unpredictability of his fights make them that much more exciting to me.

A lot of fans are really insecure about a WWE Wrestler having success in 'their' real fighting sport.

Brock is a fighter, he's just a newbie with incredible gifts. Skillwise, he wouldn't be near the UFC without his ridiculous size and athleticism combination.

While I'm sure fighters care deeply about your opinion, things don't revolve around your approval. The guy delt with a serious illness, and had an offer that was less hazardous to his health. What would he have to gain, other than your respect, by making less money, and risking his well being at the same time?

He came back to the UFC on short notice and fought a dangerous guy after a limited training camp. Spew all the bs you want, but I respect his drive.
