Why do so many fighters miss weight now compared to before?

why do so many fighters miss weight compared to the pre-buyout days? seems like broscience guru Mike Dolce and his ilk are better at getting fighters on weight than the mulit-million dollar PI is with all it's super scientific state of the art bullshit it's alleged to have.
These new generation of fighters need some guidance from the older generation on how to make weight

how about some Data to back up your claim that there are more misses now than then? Seems about the same to me.

2020 had the most weight misses in the UFC's history at 46.

Same reason why there are so many more injuries and less frequent fights in general: they're not allowed to take anything to help.
They cut more weight

i can accept these reasons, but i also think the amount of events that get put on are also part of it. but what i don't understand is people missing weight by huge amounts, like i said they have multi-million dollar PI center to help them out. wtf is up with that

They think cutting large amounts of weight will make up for their lack of skill.

They cut more weight, low repercussions for not making weight, as long as they still win and make fights exciting missing weight will not matter much.

How long ago did they ban IV re-hydration? More people having to change how they cut weight and still haven't figured out the right formula?

It’s probably mostly this. Fighters are bigger than ever and competing in lower weight classes than ever before. Without IV rehydration, you’ll see a fair number of misses.
