Because fighters cut weight like never before. It has become the norm to cut weight, so everyone is doing it because if you don't, you are at an insane disadvantage compared to others who fight 1-3 weight classes below where they belong.why do so many fighters miss weight compared to the pre-buyout days? seems like broscience guru Mike Dolce and his ilk are better at getting fighters on weight than the mulit-million dollar PI is with all it's super scientific state of the art bullshit it's alleged to have.
Do you have real statistics that verify fighters who are leveraging the PI are missing weight ?2020 had the most weight misses in the UFC's history at 46.

UFC in 2020: A ridiculously robust look at the stats, streaks, skids, and records
Now that the year has come to a close, and with a major assist from UFC research analyst and live statistics producers Michael Carroll, here are some of 2020's most significant milestommajunkie.usatoday.com
i can accept these reasons, but i also think the amount of events that get put on are also part of it. but what i don't understand is people missing weight by huge amounts, like i said they have multi-million dollar PI center to help them out. wtf is up with that
I remember loving them as a kid......they recently brought them back around here for a limited time and it was not good. Not good at all. It’s always when the McRib is back.
Do you have real statistics that verify fighters who are leveraging the PI are missing weight ?
No you don’t.
And fuck you for forcing me to side with the UFC.
yeah but they're taking considerably less of it and not the best shit
Theyre taking better shit now, and much more optimized stacks/cycles. The cutting edge PEDs are ahead of testing and the science on optimized stacks and cycles has only gotten better with time, only with doctors who specialize in athlete doping and bloodwork etc.
Olympic athletes are tested far more strictly than UFC fighters or NBA/NFL guys. Sprinters and lifters aren't getting slower or weaker. And the testimonies that they've passed dozens if not hundreds of tests while doping and it's under WADA...should raise eyebrows. The WADA agent who broke down catching Liu Xiao Jun basically said it can take years, focused testing on specific teams and hundreds of thousands of dollars of extra resources to reliably catch someone whos intelligent about it and that it does take such ridiculous efforts and resources to RELIABLY catch them.
Maybe they have to be more mindful of certain things in the UFC now as opposed to 15-20 years ago. But yeah, his is pie in the sky horseshit they aren't doping or taking as good of stuff.
Did you... Trust the science?i already posted all the science there is to science bud
that's because a lot of those guys added glamor muscles and in general were fighting up in weight classes. josh barnett fought around that time and pissed hot plenty of times and doesn't look anything like Randleman, Coleman or Wanderlei. Ken Shamrock flat out was doing body building. It's not optimal to be built like Kimo for most people.yeah, but who has money for all that? Jon Jones? lol, he's one of the highest paid MMA fighters ever and still got caught how many times? i never said they're not on PEDs, i'm saying they can't just roid out of their fuckin minds. and they definitely don't have the money for cutting edge LeBron playing at the highest level for decades type shit that the big 3 sports in America are on. and even there, there is nobody that looks like Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds, or Canseco anymore in MLB.
the difference between Olympians and your average MMA fighter is lightyears. you're repping your country, your country ain't gonna let you shit the bed, especially if you're Eastern Euro/Asian. MMA is not that serious. why does HW look like a bunch of low test dadbods? meanwhile 20 yrs ago, Coleman, Randleman, Kerr, Don Frye, Bob Sapp, Kimo, Shamrock, horselegs Mirko, Wand etc., ALL look like comic book characters?
