Why do people support Israel Adesanya?

The hate in this thread for one of the most exciting fighters around today is exactly why MMA fans are the absolute worst
 
Because he won’t dive for a takedown and sniff a man’s crotch.
 
Many people don't give a fuck about what fighters do outside of the octagon. You can find a reason to hate almost everyone if you nitpick weird shit outside of the octagon. Fedor might be the only exceptions to that but then weirdos just make up other random reasons to dislike him like "well I don't like his fans so I don't like him".

Izzy is exciting mostly (cmon people cut silva slack for his boring fights) and one of the most active, backs down from no one.

Great fighter, entertaining, cocky and arrogant but tha'ts the type of mindset that gets you far, nothing outside of the cage tells me he is a terrible person, he seems pretty jovial and has a decent sense of humor & is pretty good to his fans. His biggest detriment to me is he is a bit sensitive with trash talk yet hypocritically, does it himself.

Yes, if khamzat lives up to his potential, he will pass izzy as a superstar. Izzy hasn't crossed over yet. Hamzat is right around the same level of superstardom izzy is without having to beat a ranked opponent. You can get in your feelings if you want to, but if you objectively look at the picture and cannot see this, then I dont' know what to tell you.
 
At the end of the day if you watch UFC for personality alone, you’re an idiot.

Adesanya is a great fighter.
 
He’s a skilled fighter and some people only watch fighting for........ fighting. I find it more strange that people make threads like this because they watch it for idols to worship outside of fighting itself. You’re watching for the wrong reasons and being cringy when you care more about the fighters personality traits than the skills themselves. This isn’t the Ultimate Congeniality Championships. Care more about the art than the artist.
