Vitor didn't break it but he did hyperextend Jon's arm and injured him.

To be succinct, he doesn't have to. Jon has done more than enough to sit the process of being out for a year or 2 to inevitably be stripped and still be able to say that no one will match his accolades anytime soon.
I'm like you, I want that fight too believe me. And Jon is more or less guilty of anything and everything he's ever been accused of imo.

But if his career is unworthy of retiring on strictly on results alone, then we can assume that no matter what, short of sticking around long enough to get folded up or laid out flat...
Certain fans will never forgive him or his reign of dominance
 
Because in a cage jon is the best wrestler who has ever fought. The numbers on that speak for themselves. He is insane in that dept. Plus he is always roided like Gordon Ryan so that's a plus too

It's weird whenever wrestlers lose people try to frame it as they're idiots who don't know how to use their strengths. It isn't that easy to take people down in MMA. It isn't wrestling.

In wrestling you can't really go backward (the scoring criteria is punishes this) and obviously you have to use wrestling to actually earn points.
 
Jones was just way too tall and lanky for DC to take him down. When they did the stare down, I was struck by how much larger Jones was.

The thing is he does have to. If he wants to be a champ, he has to defend and it’s absolutely retarded that he hasn’t been stripped yet.

This has crushed his legacy. He should have vacated when he got hurt and he could have had an excuse to duck Tom, take the Stipe fight unopposed and then fight part time taking fun fights. He doesn’t owe the sport anything that way.

But him cosplaying as champ for 2 years while refusing to fight any real contenders and constantly trying to gaslight us is ridiculous and infuriating.
 
Other than the elite wrestling/tdd ability that's already been mentioned this thread, DC has said several times how when you close the distance and try to get close he hurts you with a brutal knee(s), elbow(s), etc and it makes you that much more hesitant to continue to engage, and that's IF you can even get passed the reach in the first place

Too many weapons from too many places, one of them will land, it will hurt, and you just end up staying on the outside and getting picked apart because you know when you get try to close again you're going to get take damage
 
I remember a DC attempt that took a ton of effort and Jon basically landed on his feet and was right back up. DC is super high IQ… take that for what it’s worth
 
OP is somehow convinced that dc easily outwrestled jones and he’s wondering why he didn’t do it the whole time. The whole narrative is based on nothing but delusions from the start.
 
Jones outwrestled Cormier in their first bout…

Cormier was actually finding more success in the rematch doing what he was doing…
 
Jon was just too damn good everywhere. I think it surprised Cormier. Straight wrestling i think Cormier wins for sure, but Jon's wrestling for MMA has been otherworldly against everyone.
 
Jones was too strong and on peds, DC could not do it, he had many attempts, what did you watch?

DC is also 8 years older than Jones, which does not help with cardio and too much wrestling either. Reach is big factor here too.
DC could not hold Stipe down much either, did it only once when he spent a lot of energy and did almost zero damage on the bottom.
