Why didn't Brian gassaway get another chance in the ufc ?

He might be cut from the UFC but he's still winning at life.

Interestingly enough, he's my muay thai coach in Chicago.

Also, some worse cuts. Gerald Harris, Jacob Volkmann, Efrain Escudero.

I don't think Escudero cuts were bad. The guy has had multiple chances to prove his worth and he's still struggling like fucking crazy. He's like 5-7 in the promotion. And he never looked like a world beater

You do know it was a different guy and lost to another diego.. I think some people here really think thread starter got the name wrong.
And that's the Steven siler fight.

Maybe it was because he tapped to strikes.

Kinda reminds me of when they cut Jorge Santiago, after bringing him back, all he did was lose to Gunnar Nelson, and fought well in that fight. He had a few losses in his previous stint at middleweight, but it still seems an unfair cut.

Well clearly they brought him in to lose to Diego and had no use for a guy in his 30's who tapped to strikes and had a terrible record.

Tapping to strikes has nothing to do with it. What an idiotic thing to say. Look up his list of injuries after the fight, and try to act like tapping to strikes is still a pussy thing to do.

It boils down to him being a journeyman who was brought in to lose while showcasing Diego's style. Also, UFC cut guys after one loss all the time back then. It was standard practice.

Check your math

It checks out, trust me. Derp.

Nah, but seriously Diego was -600 going into that fight. I think most people knew what was going to happen and why he was brought in to fight Diego.

Well, he beat Travis Fulton in 1998 when Travis had a nice 9 win streak finishing all the 9 cans he had fought

I legit had no idea there was actually a Brian Gassaway. I thought it was an awful joke
