It's the same reason, there's men's bathrooms and women's bathrooms. Men's Locker room/showers and Women's Locker room/showers.

Once again how is it a double standard? You have male and female toilets and change rooms. If this was about how society segregates people on basis of gender and that we should all just be comfortable with our bodies and have co change rooms and toilets then yes I agree.
