Why did Mike Ricci get cut from the UFC?

Was just thinking it was kind of weird. He lost the TUF finale, got a win, and lost a split decision to Myles Jury, a top LW now.
 
1-2 in UFC, all snoozefests.

Still kind of a quick cut though.
 
If your fights are boring, prepare to get cut the second you lose. Look at Shields and Fitch. Watch how fast they cut Khabib if he loses.

I think he deserved another chance, but his UFC fights were all boring.
 
Maybe I'm mis-remembering this, but wasn't he kind of a prima donna regarding his match ups in the UFC? I've heard multiple stories about how immature he is, including completely shirking his diet during weight cuts (the night before his fight) by eating tons of candy when his coaches specifically made a routine for him.

He came across as a privileged kid who had some athletic ability and quality training (see Countdown where Rory hangs out with his family and goes clothes shopping), but not the drive and heart necessary to be a contender. Dana likes those tough, gritty canucks.
 
That standing elbow KO over Magny he had on TUF was dope though.

You'd think that being Rory's best friend would have saved him.
 
I think it was a bad cut but I also think he is going back with a few wins.

Bellator might work for him too.. at least he is getting that sponsor money.
