These people were all totally voting to help the economy, right?

Had nothing to do with brown or trans people did it?
Oh yeah because all know only nazis and klansmen care about border security and it totally wasn't the 2nd biggest issue facing the country. Right?

Question. Trump has started this trade escalation. Does he even have the team set up yet for the External Revenue Service that he was talking about after he was elected to collect tariffs? I don't hear him mention it anymore and I don't know a single staff member on that team.

he has concepts of a plan.

Maybe I am biased because I really like Kamala and thought she ran a good campaign but I don't know that running a primary would have changed who the nom was. If you look at polling for 28 Kamala is like well ahead of anyone else, Gavin is usually second and I feel like Trump would have beaten him way worse. Unless you meant Democrat voters are obsessed with race and identity politics which I think we can be but also don't know that it's a bad thing. Point being considering the hole Biden was in by the time Kamala took over the fact that she managed to lose by like 1.5 nationally is about the best we could have hoped for. Doing a primary after the 22 midterms probably would have been the move.
Indeed, just like in Canada, the main issue for the Dems/Liberals was the party leader refused to step down when he was clearly well past his "sell by" date. In both cases, stepping down at the last minute (more or less) left too little time and caused too much scrambling. PM Carey would be in the same boat as Harris if not for Trump starting all that shit with Canada, and in so doing, reminding people just how alike Trump and little PP are. And just like in the 2024 US election, polls currently have them neck and neck (within the margin of error,) or so I'm told.

Sure sure. Border security is all about racism and nothing else.
<DisgustingHHH>
Border security is a very complicated subject and needs to be addressed. But let's be honest there is a significant identity politics component. The whole concern about white people being a minority or as Trump himself put it, they are bringing their inferior genes here. All of this is identity politics related.

I guess there's no way for either of us the prove one way or the other. Its not just conservatives that were concerned with the border, we've also seen POCs, democrats shift attitudes on illegal immigration. To me that suggests it wasn't about getting rid of brown people. But identity politics probably played a small role in it.
