Why did Mark Hunt file lawsuits against UFC for Brock’s Roids but Bisping couldn’t over TRTitor?

Reminder that One-Eyed Mike took GSP to deep water :p

And drowned

UFC bypassed USADA for the Brock/Hunt fight. At the time, there was a provision that the UFC could skip the required 6 months of USADA testing if they choose.

They did, Brock pissed hot and Hunt had a rightful lawsuit claim. He argued that the UFC knew Brock was on PEDs, didn’t care and made a ton of money. When Brock got caught, there was no penalty. Both the UFC snd Brock made all of their money.

It would be like scamming a bank out of millions of dollars, getting caught and them being like, “You little rascal. Just keep the money and don’t do it again”.

Surely people can see how that is bullshit. Unfortunately, UFC has good lawyers and Hunt is a bit of a nutcase. UFC pretty much made it clear that Brock retired and they’ll never bypass USADA again. They got away with robbery.

So now, even Conor has to do 6 months of testing. They aren’t going to risk that again.

With Vitor, TRT was legal at the time but was super easy to cheat. Your testosterone could be through the roof during training. You just needed it in range for the pre and post fight drug test which was just an IQ test.

Bisping would have had to prove Vitor’s test levels were elevated at the time of the fight and they weren’t so he wouldn’t have a case.

Who you choose to believe is irrelevant. What matters is the judge who reviewed the case basically told Hunto to GTFO and pay the UFC back for wasting their time. Hunto has been legally proven to be full of shit.

Grand, because we all know the legal system is always right and money plays no part in it at all.

Bisping never had a bad business relationship with the UFC. They never tried to fuck him,so he never had any reason to fuck them back.
They did the exact opposite and did their best to protect him

So the UFC fabricated data and lied in court to cover it up? I imagine they had to prove the tests came back after the fight.

Yes sir.
Unfortunately Hunto lost that's why he had to pay.
Damn! I've heard that sometimes when you approach a lawyer, they'll neglect to tell you when you have a weak case. I wonder if that's what happened to him?

Does he have any viable complaints outstanding, or is he legally flatlined?

From what I understand (please double check me) Mark Hunt had no proof only suspicions.

And when you go to court you need actually evidence to back up your claims. You can't just say people are guilty because you don't like them

Because Mark Hunt had no actual evidence the case was dismissed and Mark Hunt was ordered to pay the UFC's legal fees

Belfort had a TRT exemption, it was stupid that the UFC allowed it but it technically wasn't against the rules. Brock popped when TRT exemption was no longer a thing. Brock failed a PED test before the fight and they let him fight Hunt anyway and didn't notify Hunt that Brock failed a PED test till after the fight happened.

He failed his post fight test so it came back after. They overturned the fight to a no contest which a lot of people forgot about.

Part of Hunt’s argument is they knew he’d pop and still let him fight for the money. That part would be hard to prove in court but just looking at pics from that fight, you knew he was on the gas. Still, looks aren’t enough in court.

I knew that's what you were trying to say sir, that's why I said it ;)
And I would speak more clearly if you weren't out there in the world fixing misunderstandings. But since I know you're out there, I can speak recklessly.

He's still got some (legal) fight left in him.

From last October:
"The lawsuit alleged a conspiracy to commit a crime related to racketeering, fraud, battery, breach of contract, breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and negligence. The allegations were initially dismissed in February 2019, but the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit reversed the district court’s dismissal of fraud and battery. Hunt is bound for the US after his bout with Williams to continue an even bigger fight."

More detail from September 2021:

"In 2019, the United States District Court for the District of Nevada dismissed the majority of Hunt's claims. All claims against White and Lesnar were dismissed. The only claim that remained was the alleged breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing. However, that claim was later thrown out after the UFC secured a summary judgment. Now, on September 24, 2021, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit brought the case back to life.

The Ninth Circuit reversed the district court's dismissal of two of his claims: fraud and battery. The 2019 dismissal of Hunt's claims of unjust enrichment, racketeering, breach of contract, and breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing was affirmed. Still, this serves as a massive breakthrough for Hunt, as the district court will have to re-hear his claims for fraud and battery with new instruction from a higher court.

As for the fraud claim, the Ninth Circuit held that Dana White's statement promising that Lesnar "will be the most tested athlete on this card" could form a basis for fraud as it was a false representation of material fact.
