Obviously it's a PED, but in order to get TRT they had to show signs of low testosterone and then get enough to balance it to normal levels right? Clearly there was more than normal going around in their body, shifty doctors?

Even if you dont abuse it there is a massive improvement. Think about if you did steroids when you were young and your natural t levels are like a 80 year old woman. Now imagine if you bring it up to the level of an athlete in their early 20s. It doesnt have to be abuse to make insanely large amounts of improvement. With that said, yeah, a ton of guys abused the privilege and thats why its banned now.

Side note: i think Dana and company didnt want vitor to be champ and thats why the timing of it went perfectly to ban it before the weidman fight. Dana hates Brazilian champs.

Am I getting it wrong or you're saying that TRT is only possible to obtain with sign of low testosterone?

I dont know what do you mean, but in my country you can get bucket full of TRT for money, if you want to drink it as tea.

And the system was so unregulated that yhey probbably used is in that amounts <45>

Edit: Got it

I´m no specialist, but as far as I know the so call normal levels of testosterone are not actually normal... I mean, if you show up with a 2:1 ratio you will pass the test, but this is above what the average man produces... So basically what the TRT fighters were doing was put their testo level at the maximun accepted by the exam (wich is way more than the normal human being)

No. It was so unregulated that anyone could juke the system.

Chael didn't bring a (edit) endocrinologist to prove he needed TRT in the first place; he brought his fucking chiropractor to the hearing. His chiropractor then said ya, he'd been giving Chael T for awhile, because he got fatigued quicker than he used to.

Chael then said he had verbal permission from Keith Kizer. Kizer said he's never had a conversation with Chael, ever.

And with that quality level defense, what happened? He got his sentenced reduced 50%. That's the system which was in place during the TRT years.

Removing that TRT loophole a Mac truck could drive though was the right thing to do. Tightening the loophole would be the next best thing, but state AC's are to fubar to pull it off properly.

Bad doctors, ease of procuring, and mega dosing

aside from vitor, who else became a monster?

dan henderson couldn't win the belt with TRT
frank mir lost all his fights
rampage got chased out of UFC
forrest griffin could only beat tito ortiz
chael sonnen got outgrappled by bisping

CHEATERS NEVER WIN

I think the issue is that a "normal" level of test is somewhere between 400-1200 which is a huge window. If u get up to even 800 from 400 you can easily pack on muscle mass at any age under 50. I'm not sure what the limit was set at if you were given an exemption but I'd imagine at least 800?

I want to understand human genetics and the impact of hormones on the endocrine system. So I'll go ask Sherdog.

That's incredibly wrong.

PED's help guys get from (pardon my baseball metaphor) AA to the majors.

They help decent fighters turn good, and good fighters turn great.

And as you pointed out, they help older guys stay in the game longer.

If Dr can hook you on a $150 a month repeat then you damn right he's going to find something wrong and want to 'better your life'

Them fools were dumb and kept going higher than the max. Cycling.

if it's wrong then why didn't a single TRT user win a belt in UFC??

It also has a mental effect.

He's talking about the therapeutic use exemption

1) we don't know they didn't.
2) as you already pointed out, most of the ones we do know about were older and hanging on to their careers by a thread.

but don't change it up. you said they never win, not they never become the champions. i'm saying hell yes it helped them win. Hendo was 10 years into a career and kept going. Chael went from journeyman to UFC title shot.
