Why did Aspinall become a drama queen ?

I don't get it, wasn't he the baddest man in the planet who was always smiling and joking around? Why is he all of a sudden such a drama queen crying in the post fight interview, talking about stopping his career and trying to prove he got severe eye injury lmao?

What just happened with him? Why is he doing ALL of that just for an eyepoke (which IS a foul obviously, not saying it's normal)
