Facts: 1. Chael Sonnen dominated Anderson Silva when he was considered the best in the world, and won 4 out of 5 rounds against him, then was put in a triangle which Chael says he never tapped to it. If you watch the fight the tap looks questionable and Chael keeps fighting....So Chael should have had the Middleweight title right there.

2. Chael clears out the middleweight division of all challengers so Silva has no choice but to rematch him. And Anderson tried everything he could to get out of the fight.

3. Chael rematches Silva and dominates the 1st round. In the 2nd round Silva eye pokes Sonnen, pulls on his shorts, and knees him in the head when he is down. Silva should have been disqualiefied and Sonnen should have yet again, been the middleweight champ.

4. When Henderson gets hurt, Sonnen calls out Jones, and Jones ducks Sonnen to fight the easier Vitor Belfort.

5. Chael fights arguably the best fighter in the world in Jones. Chael uses amazing technique and breaks Jon Jones's toe. Jones admits the fight should have been stopped there....Conclusion...Chael should be light heavyweight champion with wins over two of the pound for pound best..Jones and Silva.

6. Chael beats one of the greatest of all time in Shogun rua and barely breaks a sweat.

7. Chael allows his good friend Rashad to get a much needed victory over Chael helping Rashad get his career on track, proving that he not only beats the best, but can also help a good friend.

Ultimate Conclusion....Chael is the best UFC fighter.

why isn't chael a champion if he's the best fighter in the ufc? please explain.

Because..as i have explained above, he never tapped to Silva and the fight was stopped....Silva cheated in the second fight....and he should have win over Jones via ref stoppage for his broken toe.

Thank you, TS, for making this thread.

I always need a reminder of how delusional the Chael fan base used to be (and some parts of it apparently still are).

Well he's not really the best fighter in the UFC because he's old, limited skill set, Testosterone deficient, and would much rather be an announcer than a fighter.

Chael wouldn't even be the best fighter in Bellator...sad...but true....

Cheal has not beaten 1 elite fighter in his entire career.

I like how all these sherdoggers are putting Sonnen down...yet sherdoggers will continuously praise and nut hug on shogun who Sonnen beat without breaking a sweat...and made him look silly.

I'll bite against my better judgement.

1) sure he dominated but he got subbed and he did tap, not questionable at all watch it again

2) you have a good point tbh but that does not have any relevancy as to why he's the best fighter in the UFC, it does not involve fighting in itself

3) there was no eye poke and the knee clearly hit Cheal in the body again watch it again if you're not sure...it's true he pulled his shorts but even Cheal himself said it's not relevant

4)he didn't duck Sonnen for Belfort, he declined Sonnen on 8 days notice cos he felt Cheal is very different than Hendo and he wasn't prepared, the Belfort fight was scheduled after that

5)trololololol basically you lost it at making this seem like a good troll thread

6) Shogun nowhere near the GOAT not even delusional fan boys would agree with you

7) sure he allowed Rashad to destroy him, makes sense

Conclusion: you're a tosser, put some effort into trolling

53 minutes until they stop selling beer

Chael would destroy anyone in the Bellator MW and LHW division.

I could see Emanuel Newton or maybe King Mo winning a decision, if Rampage lands clean a few times he'd go out too

But most probably he does

Actually the Belfort fight was scheduled only 8 days after that...so yes..Jones was ducking Sonnen...and for good reason too...he didnt want his toe broken.

Remember...Sonnen hurt Jon Jones so bad he had to sit while giving his interview with Rogan after the fight...First time Ive ever seen a fighter have to sit through his interview....When you get in the cage with Sonnen...You dont leave on your feet.
