Why do these guys all manage to repeatedly escape from incarceration?

Because there'd be no stories otherwise.

it was a gauntlet. he was scared of the symbol of the bat when he was in pena dura prison so he wanted to push batman to his physical and mental limits

This.

He was going to win, not fight. Asking why he wore Batman down and worked every advantage is like asking why Batman hides in the shadows and vertical takedowns criminals instead of touching with teh jab.

If he just went around touching villains with teh jab, there would only be 12 Batman comics and he'd be a serial murderer.

Batman eventually got him in the rematch years later.

Because he knew he couldn't allow Batman the time to prep.

How long until batman finally snaps and starts killing villains? After throwing the same villains in jail tim after time it would get old nd he'd get tired of it

But Bane didnt have TRT... I mean venom.

Azrael is the only one that beat him with venom pre 52.

Azrae actually beat him twice more in his own series.

"Azrael beat Bane to a pulp in "Knightfall" after he forced to fiend to suffer withdrawal from venom, and Bane isn't one to forgive and forget. When Bane resurfaces, Jean-Paul Valley tells Batman he's up to the task. Bane says he no longer needs the drug and considers it a weakness, but that's not stopping him from selling it to a small army. So begins three fantastic and must read fights between Azrael and Bane. Bane quickly takes the first against an injured JPV, but the second is absolutely brutal. The two duke it out along the cliffs, and when JPV distracts Bane with a case of venom, it allows him to send the two flying off a cliff. Both combatants slowly rise, but it's Azrael that delivers the final strike. Round three picks up shortly later, but an aftershock causes Bane to bump his head and, in turn, lose the battle. These 5 issues are something every Bane fan should read at least once."
