Why are there fighters in teh UFC with less than 10 pro fights?

Sounds like you're living in 2007 or something. They have what close to 1k fighters these days? Theyre not all gonna be top guys. He'll they weren't all top guys back then. They need guys for fight night cards

TS is about as smart as a bag of rocks.

idk if this is the reason but in the long term it's better to secure a fighter when he still has 20+ fights in him: they'll pay peanuts initially so if he doesn't deliver as expected they'll just fire him.
we've seen too many times already established fighters came to the ufc when they are already washed.
They’re only considered washed becsuse fans cant admit that maybe they were never that good, thats why the UFC has a difficult time paying “estabished” fighters higher pay becsuse most times they do not deliver. While yes, some fighters has came in truly washed, but most enter it in their primes, they just don’t win becsuse the competition is stiffer on a consistent basis.

This is actually a really good point. For these weaker divisions, just let what would normally be mid-level promotion guys sorted themselves out on the prelims of these apex type cards.

Like you said it works itself out. If they lose 2 straight you just give them the boot but for little to no investment but if they're upside ends up being good and they win more than they lose, then maybe you can have the fight for your promotion for the next 5 to 10 years.

we just signing everyone now?!

9 fighters on Saturday's card with under 10 pro fights. Send those cans back to the minor leagues and make them earn it like they had to back in da day. How many fights until a fighters is worthy of the Big Leagues (aka U Fight Cheap) in your opinion? I think 10-15 should be the bare minimum.

Records before first UFC fights, all less than 10 pro fights. All whom ended up UFC champs. There are many many more that entered the UFC with less than 10 fights and also had big success.

Khamzat Chimaev 6-0
Kamaru Usman 6-1
Leon Edwards 8-1
Ilia Topuira 8-0
Merab 7-2
Perreira 3-1
Omalley 8-0
Belal 9-0
Aspinal 7-2
Francis 5-1
Max Holloway 4-0
Cain Velasquez 2-0
Jon Jones 6-0
Chris Weidman 4-0

You are not talking to a rational, intelligent person.

The guy literally watches Power Slap.

10 fights is a lot.
GSP came into the UFC on the back of 5 Quebec fights.

His 8th fight was a title shot.
