Why are the Nordic countries so happy?

Lol, there's an episode of Brooklyn 99 in which two Swedish detectives from Interpol visit the 99 to work a case of international diamond theft/smuggling. The two Swedes are highly efficient, intelligent, friendly, polite and gorgeous. The woman tells the American that she and her partner speak several languages apart from their native tongue, including English, French and German,

"But not Danish, because that is a garbage language spoken by garbage people!":)
I always find it so funny how are you nordic countries all hate on each other.

Lol I saw that one, it was hilarious. The Swedes legimiately doesn't care for us that much for some reason (obviously generalising). Might be because we can understand them and they can't understand us. No, but seriously, they find us somewhat uncivilised and "farm" like, which we are, which is why it triggers them so much that we can understand their language. We also find the Swedes a little effeminate sometimes and their prices on alcholol are way too high. I've lived on the island Amager, which is part of outer Copenhagen, all my life and at a certain point I lived near the harbor. Swedes during summer not being able to handle their alcohol was a thing. The Norwegian tend to like Swedes better than us as well, mainly because again they don't understand us and we understand them perfectly fine, as well as both Sweden and Norway being neighbors and having similar landscapes. Denmark is basically entirely flat.

Long story short, Denmark is the best country. Less isolated, understand all Scandinavian languages, less snobby, cheaper alcohol, warmer weather, better banter. Not nearly as beautiful landscapes and nature though.

I've got a soft spot for the Danes. Partly because I'm a huge fan of Mads Mikkelsen. That man is just ridiculously cool:cool:

The Swedish hate for Denmark is in my opinion more of a Stockholm thing. Sweden is very Stockholm centred.
Most people in Scania loves Denmark and would not mind being Danish again. Scania was Danish for a lot longer than its been Swedish and is actually a "great" example of a successful ethnic cleansing.
Sweden's mentally has always been to be the big brother.
Which it is not anymore and it makes a lot of people butt hurt.
Imo Sweden has a "we know best" mentality and we are a bit better than you.

Living in southern Sweden I have actually once or twice been forced to speak English in Stockholm because the person(s) claimed to not understand my accent...

Your kind is not welcome here..

(Have to say that or i'll be fined)..

I'm actually a fan of demmark.. it's like the relative who actually did that shit and have stories.. sweden is more of a judgemental relative questioning why one would do "that" in the first place..

He's a cool dude for sure! I think generally Brits would get along with Danes better than the rest of Scandinavia (Swedes too posh, Norwegians too outdoorsy and Finns too weird although they don't really count). Lol, obviously I'm joking around a little bit here, but still. Oddly enough I've never been to Malmø though even though I only live like 30 minutes away from it with the train. My impression is that Malmø (Sweden) and Copehagen (Denmark) are more similar than the rest of the cities as they are close and share a certain percentage of residents, but again have never been.

Felt a little conflicted liking this post with the whole great example of ethnic cleansing thing lol. Ah, funny you should say that because as I just said in the other post I haven't really visited southern Sweden. Which is odd as I live relatively close. Been to Stockholm and other places mid-north many times though. Which cities would you recommend in Skåne län? Just straight for Malmø?
