Why Are So Many Upset About Biggi Boy's Release???

if the UFC announced JR vs Diniz main eventing an upcoming Apex show you would all complain so yeah the fake outrage is a bit much. I dont think they should cut guys in a terribly thin div but Im also not gonna pretend like I need to see him fight or enjoyed his fights.
That's because diniz is low level. Everyone would laugh at Gane vs Diniz FN too.

But a Gane vs JR is a respectable FN main, because he's a respectable B side of a good fight.
Or tybura vs JR or Spivac vs JR or lewis vs JR.
You better make a huge hype thread for top hws Waldo vs Mayes and diniz vs tuivasa main events.

I still can't wrap my mind around people taking "boring" or "exciting" into consideration when it comes to a fighter's standing in the UFC.
That should have NOTHING to do with who gets title shots and who gets released.

Dude had won back-to-back fights prior to this loss.
AND he beat Tuivasa, who is on a 5-fight losing streak, yet is still with the company.
It's fucking bullshit.

This attitude that people have towards fighters makes me think that not many people on here have actually themselves trained MMA.
If they had, their judgements and opinions would be very different.

Yea but in the rest real world you can't (or shouldn't) be able to get away with such bad fights multiple times and justify whatever he was getting paid. They want these guys to fight.

Yeah, Tai is a lucky duck. If he hadn't sucked down that shoe goo a few times I bet he'd have gone one or two fights ago. Still like that Samoan Abbo though. He better win his next fight.

I'm split on it. His fights were mostly terrible, but if I had to cut HWs, the unranked fat blobs would go first. I think UFC should automatically keep all top 15 fighters no matter how many losses. Maybe Rozenstruik cost too much which is understandable, but he clearly was above the level of HWs that aren't in top 10.
I'd agree is the UFC rankings were fair and worth a shit.

He had some good finishes but if he didn't get the finish his fight would suck, he looked like a title contender until he ran into Ngannou, after that it was downhill for him.

I remember watching Jon Fitch get bounced while having a 14-3-1 record in the promotion. I wasn't at all surprised when I saw the news break.

Concur.

Dude was exciting at first, but after being KO'd, he's just a fat, ugly dude fighting "safety-first," which is nothing anyone wants to see.

.
He's UGLY you say! Should have been cut a long time ago!

They couldnt wait to get rid of his boring ass

Because if we accept that ranked fighters can be cut because they are not entertaining, the whole notion of sport goes out of the window. Can we cut Belal? All decision machines? Is this WWE now?
Idk ask Jon Fitch lmao. This ain't new.

I liked the tuivasa fight, I actually think having a patient technical striker at HW isn't the worst thing. He acts as a skill check for fat, skill-less swanger/bangers. Guys like Derrick Lewis, Tai Tuivasa, Shamil Gaziev ect don't get past a fighter like Rozenstriuke. I understand the boring critique.
Very true.

He wasn’t a bad guy to have among the UFC HW division, he does have a few good wins.

I wonder how much he was costing to the UFC per fight. HW isn’t exactly oozing with talent and fresh blood right now, so for them to drop him with 3 fights remaining on his contract, it probably just wasn’t because he looked flat a few days ago.

I guess we're all entitled to our own opinions.

If people want to watch the sport for excitement, that's their choice.
Others watch because they want to know who is the best.

I get it. Some guys I like get shafted due to their styles/lack of fan support

But this guy just didnt do anything the whole fight, and guy he fought did like 10%

I can understand why they just didnt see the upside in keeping him, if they were already unhappy/iffy about him. I dont like no one to lose their jobs, but the guy was super gunshy when the other guy was already stinking up the octagon. There was an oppurtunity for him there and he didnt do nothin with it.

Not sure how cutting guys who were in the top 5 for ever.. makes any sense.. maybe let them drop down to the 10 15 or 20 then cut them and instead get rid of the unpromising up and comers that didn't turn out to well and just lose and stayed in the top 20 for 7 years

The only thing this does is make the hw division that much worse... Just cut a top guy..

And you have nobody .. and the up and comers have nobody to test them .. the UFC has always ran a company like shit though and treated their fighters like dog shit I'ma sure these guys don't get a warning or anything ..

And we KNOW DAMM WELL Biggi Boi isn't the best. Not saying he's the worst either but we know he ain't showing anything new.

We won't ever be saying "if Biggi Boi was still in the UFC, he'd be an interesting test for the champ."

Agreed. I don't think he was ever going to become the best.
But cutting him because he isn't "exciting", while keeping Tuivasa (5-fight losing streak) is what frustrates me.

It's not that he was released but the fact that much more worse hws are on the roster that should never be on the UFC roster. But then again the UFC isn't legit and just for show.

Or was zhino just a dei hire and now that Papa trump is at the helm, they can cut him now?

Because he's still a top 10 HW.
