Guess there won't be any UFC shows in Suriname any time soon
I still can't wrap my mind around people taking "boring" or "exciting" into consideration when it comes to a fighter's standing in the UFC.I can't recall him ever having an entertaining bout besides getting starched by Francis in seconds.
His fights are boring, he's very one dimensional, and his record is not impressive. What's the fuss?

It's funny because the same people whining about boring fighters are going to be the same ones whining that O'Malley is gonna rematch merab or Conor gets infinite title shots and top match upsI still can't wrap my mind around people taking "boring" or "exciting" into consideration when it comes to a fighter's standing in the UFC.
That should have NOTHING to do with who gets title shots and who gets released.
Dude had won back-to-back fights prior to this loss.
AND he beat Tuivasa, who is on a 5-fight losing streak, yet is still with the company.
It's fucking bullshit.
This attitude that people have towards fighters makes me think that not many people on here have actually themselves trained MMA.
If they had, their judgements and opinions would be very different.
Your av is fucking hilarious. It's funny because the same people whining about boring fighters are going to be the same ones whining that O'Malley is gonna rematch merab or Conor gets infinite title shots and top match ups

After this weekend how can you say this at all?
Pavlovich at least tried to win. Biggi boy didn't do shit
Impossible.Could say the same about your lover boy Shara TBH
Early Roz was badly down on the cards against Overeem and knew he needed a Hail Mary and actually went for it. This Roz similarly knew he was down and needed a Hail Mary and didn't.Pavlovich at least tried to win. Biggi boy didn't do shit
Yeah that's true, for now he's basically middle of the pack. Good guy to keep to see if anyone should get a shot at a higher spotThis is the part I'm struggling with. I get his fights aren't always classic HW bangers or whatever, but he's better than every single ranked below him and not because his number is bigger, but actually because he would beat anyone below him
I agree, but what is probably the problem is UFC loses athletes to NFL or boxing, any of the big guys. They would need to pay more, but it's going to be awhile until real HWs see UFC pays enough and train to be MMA fighters even if they do.Honestly, UFC should have some fitness/cardio tests in place to make sure the HW fighters meets some minimum criteria of fitness and cardio. We've had some truly embarrassing performances in that division.
This so much. Rozy is very fun when he's the hammer vs trash hws.Because when Rozenstruik fights people like Mayes, he gets a brutal KO. 8/9 of his wins in the UFC are knockouts.
When Mayes fights people like Mayes, he wins the most boring decisions in the world.
At least we can see Bigi Boy can crush for a bit.
Watch Mayes fight anyone. It ain't gonna be fun.
I'd rather a 50% chance of fun, than a 0%
This is the real issue here cutting watchable fighters for garbage. marcos rodrigo de lima also appears to but cut to for winning vs cheaper fighters they wanted to promote.I'd rather the shitty HWs get cut rather than the very few ones that actually have some skills, even if they're not the most exciting.
They only cut him because they know that he'd do what he did to Gaziev to most of their new signings, and I don't like that as a reason. HW has been a shitshow in terms of talent for years, and getting rid of decent gatekeepers (Jair, Romanov, Williams) will only lower the bar for ranked talent.
I tend to skip most HW fights, Pogues/Hamdy being the most recent one, also any Mo Usman one, for this reason.
I'll laugh if one of their new undefeated HW prospects, Teixeira, gets KO'd by Tafa this week. Dude seems like the Brazilian Struve but with less of a grappling inclination despite his BJJ black belt.
