Why Are So Many Upset About Biggi Boy's Release???

I liked the tuivasa fight, I actually think having a patient technical striker at HW isn't the worst thing. He acts as a skill check for fat skill-less swanger/bangers. Guys like Derrick Lewis, Tai Tuivasa, Shamil Gaziev ect don't get past a fighter like Rozenstriuke. I understand the boring critique

I'm split on it. His fights were mostly terrible, but if I had to cut HWs, the unranked fat blobs would go first. I think UFC should automatically keep all top 15 fighters no matter how many losses. Maybe Rozenstruik cost too much which is understandable, but he clearly was above the level of HWs that aren't in top 10.

I guess I get it? For the most part he'd either get a quick KO or go to a very boring decision. Most of the quick KOs were in the beginning of his UFC run and the snoozers towards the end though...

I can't recall him ever having an entertaining bout besides getting starched by Francis in seconds.

His fights are boring, he's very one dimensional, and his record is not impressive. What's the fuss?

Concur.

Dude was exciting at first, but after being KO'd, he's just a fat, ugly dude fighting "safety-first," which is nothing anyone wants to see.

.

I'm not. Dude is boring as hell. The HW division is mostly garbage though. I find very little entertainment in the hW division as many fights seem very low skill and they're mostly fat guys.... it should be embarrassing to these fatties but obviously it's not.

This is the part I'm struggling with. I get his fights aren't always classic HW bangers or whatever, but he's better than every single ranked below him and not because his number is bigger, but actually because he would beat anyone below him

Honestly, UFC should have some fitness/cardio tests in place to make sure the HW fighters meets some minimum criteria of fitness and cardio. We've had some truly embarrassing performances in that division.

After this weekend how can you say this at all?
Because when Rozenstruik fights people like Mayes, he gets a brutal KO. 8/9 of his wins in the UFC are knockouts.

When Mayes fights people like Mayes, he wins the most boring decisions in the world.

At least we can see Bigi Boy can crush for a bit.

Watch Mayes fight anyone. It ain't gonna be fun.

I'd rather a 50% chance of fun, than a 0%

Are they paying Mayes as much as Biggi Boy?

he didn't do himself any favors with his fighting style, for sure. if he didn't want to be cut he should have gone out there and tried to finish a fight, and he didn't do that, at least not often enough.

Eh if everyone got cut after a boring performance, pavlovich would be gone too.

Ngannou and Lewis would be doomed after their performance. Sandhagen gone after Font. Hell Belal and Merab wouldn't be champs.

No they aren't. I understand it's a business. But I enjoy entertainment, not going "ooh what a clever business decision"

Personal I don’t think it’s fair to call him boring. Bro had lots of KOs. More so than many of the fighters on the roster. At worst, you could say the excitement level of his fights was a coin flip sometimes awesome KO’s sometimes boring

Plus, there are a lot of worse heavyweights on the roster than him. There are so many fat blobs on the heavyweight roster who don’t even get finishes, those dude should be released before he is

Also, I really liked his story and how he represented his country. He inspired a lot of people out there even got phone calls from his country’s president after fight. I was always rooting for him and all his fights.
