Folks arguing his level of competition hasn't been impressive... fair enough, but where I disagree, is that winning fights for long streaks against anyone in the UFC is really freaking hard. His consistency is very impressive to me, as well as his will and grit. He's a tough out for anyone. I don't see him becoming champ, but he definitely deserves more respect in my opinion. And furthermore, if you all feel he doesn't deserve much praise due to his strength in opposition, that's probably more reason TO give him a ranked opponent.

His totally done enough for a ranked opponent. His won more than most do to get a ranked shot.

Was generalizing. Not many people watched it. The PBP thread was at an all time low as far as activity.

Point still stands: No one talks about ninja turtles last performance because it was largely missed.

People here still don't realize that unranked guys in the UFC are actually really good and beating consistent, good competition is much harder than fighting on the regional scene. Most guys in the UFC were the cream of the crop on the regionals whether they settle into gatekeeper, contender or elite after the fact. Now they're all fighting one another.
