I'd say that the native Americans are way more forgotten than Latinos. You don't hear much about them.

I’d compare it to Asians each country has their own channels and mediums of entertainment. Hotshot young heartthrob lain-american job is a talented young guy on the police force. The man is a man of honor and order, and dislikes chaos. Latinos are a foundation of American culture. They aren’t OG’s like Native Americans, but they’re closer than Britain, England, France etc who all tried to inhabit this country.

Foreign influence left, because those that called this country home fought for something better.

Show me a country that hasn’t done terrible things. Every major nation across the world fought to claim America. It became something in it of itself.

Because they still have a connection to their culture of origin. They feel strongly about their nationality and how they're different from others. The social construct of "white people" only exists because of the American melting pot. Before there were "white people", there were Italians, Irish, Germans, Brits, Greeks, etc. They would have laughed at you for lumping them together. Now they don't remember their own culture anymore. It's funny and sad to see Americans exclaim that "I'm Italian!" but they don't speak a word of the language and can't even name the prime minister. You're not Italian; you're just a fat American cunt. As for blacks, they obviously also lost the connection to their place of origin.

The whole "Hispanics / Latino" thing is the media's effort to make them fit into the pre-existing narrative in American society: separating people based on skin colour.

latinos are 'forgotten' because 75% of them consider themselves white and get absorbed into 'european american' majority political mass. Its like gun paperwork. Being hispanic isnt a race. its an ethnicity that compliments a race. and most of the people who click 'latino/hispanic' on a document are also clicking 'white' on that same piece of documentation.
