Who's your NBA MVP? ***UPDATE: Poll Added***

I'm going to take Breakitdown's opinion because as far as I know he's the only one here who has played high level basketball and makes excellent points. The facts point to Harden being a low skilled player.

That's the crux of the issue. I've analyzed Harden's game for years now and it's painfully obvious he gets the benefit of the friendly/rigged on nearly unprecedented levels (only ones comparable are an 06 finals Wad and a prime Juice). If you actually watch and take note of when he ACTUALLY gets fouled he should be down to ~4 FT's/game. The guy is not a skill player and doesn't deserve MVP consideration due to this lack of ability.

There's really no logical reason why Harden would get so much love from refs. He's not in a giant market like New York or LA. He's not a flashy, explosive player (like Kobe, Wade and Lebron) that the league needs to market.

He's got average physical tools but a sweet shot and great body control and court smarts. I think people are offended that a 6'5" explosive doesn't play explosive, but plays rather... hard and smart.

Steph Curry is having a great season. Shooting 41+ percent from 3 and 48+ percent from the field while averaging 7 assists a game is nice. He's been tremendous and the +/- numbers when he's on the court (+717) to when he's off the court (-17) is incredible.

Anthony Davis is in my top 3. If the Pelicans somehow make the playoffs he should get a good look. I personally think he's been the best player in the NBA this season.

1-4 warriors without Thompson. Stephcan cant even carry a team on his own. The warriors are loaded in their lineup and bench. No way he deserves the award.

Gonna have to go with Alexey Shved. He's pulled way more than his weight for me with Holiday gone. Might just lead me to the chip. God willing.

i really think Harden is going to get it. curry is playing out of his mind, but he has thompson and draymond going off as well, that'll likely hurt him; his shooting numbers are fucking absurd though.

harden has like ariza and DMO, and is killing it. he's averaging 7 assists a game, leading the league in assisted 3s, and his TS% is over .600.... plus 1.9 SPG, they won't ignore that shit. that dude is carrying that team

westbrook and davis arguably deserve it as well, but due to relative weak team performance they won't get it. moses malone was the last MVP from a team under 50 wins, and both those teams will scrape that and maybe make the yoffs

Moses was a beast though. Him and calvin Murphy led the rockets during that era.

Harden for mvp unless Westbrook can get okc to atleast a 6 seed

Harden. Another 44pt performance. No tjones, no Dwight. Like a MVP boss. League leading 40pt plus performance in NBA.

If I could decide who gets the award, I would give it to Stephen Curry

If I had to bet on who they are going to give it to, I would say James Harden

40 point game, wow, unbelievable performance. Now do it 9 TIMES IN A ROW like True did back in 02-03 LMAO.

Anytime you see people going crazy about accolades like this you really have to stop and appreciate True's greatness and rightful place atop the totem pole of NBA greats LOL.

If we were discussing Player of the Century, he might need to.

But this is about this year's MVP. And the Hardgoat is wrapping it up nicely.
