FYI jokes are supposed to be funny
Please explain why it's funny. Thanks, I must have missed it.i laughed (insert shrug emoticon) lol
Cyborg is closer to being Tyson than being Ali lol.Ken Norton beat Muhammed Ali, but Ali was the greater fighter.
I guess my point is, just because Cyborg lost to Nuñes doesn't mean Nuñes is the overall better fighter.
Sure, in the UFC (only) Nuñes accomplished more than Cyborg did, but again Cyborg has the better overall MMA record, win %, KO %, and overall list of accomplishments .... not to mention the fact Nuñes never gave Cyborg a return match.
As far as my respect for each fighter, I've never seen Cyborg look like a total quitter, as Nuñes looked against Peña. That was a flat-out gutless quit, whereas Cyborg absolutely went out on her shield when she lost to Amanda.
In the end, I personally respect Cyborg as a fighter 100x more than Nuñes — who also panic-wrestled on the second fight with Germaine de Randamie, when Germaine was piecing Amanda up in the clinches.
Pacheco LOST twice to HarrisonLaughable.
Cyborg crushed Cat Zingano, who broke Amanda Nunes. Cyborg also beat a better Holly Holm, so they share a common opponent.
At nearly 40 years old, Cyborg just beat Larissa Pacheco, who had beaten Kayla Harrison, in a higher weight division.
I think Pacheco would whip Nunes and already has whipped Harrison.
That's a hell of a win.
Cyborgs record overall is more impressive, and she holds more WMMA wins, KOs, has less losses, and just proved she is still Champion-quality against the best women in MMA, while being three years older than Nuñez.
So because Cyborg beat a far more washed Zingano than the version that beat Nunes, we just forget that Nunes knocked Cyborg the fuck out in under a round?Laughable.

Who's the greatest talent? Are you thinking someone like Rose or a more unexpected answer?Greatest talent, or greatest success?
Two vastly different answers there, imo.
Just clarifying what kind of greatness we're looking at.Who's the greatest talent? Are you thinking someone like Rose or a more unexpected answer?

Edit, my bad, under a minute.
Olympic level mental gymnastics there.
Pacheco LOST twice to Harrison
To each their own i suppose.Nunes quit 2-3x, lost 5x, and retired at 36.
Cyborg just won her 5th title, at age 39, over the only woman to beat Kayla Harrison ... showing grit and resolve.
Yes, I call the woman who has won more, has competed longer, has won more belts, accolades ... in every platform ever made ... over a more-sustained career ... GREATER than a woman who repeatedly quits, who hasn't won as many fights, but lost more, and "retired early" ... just because the latter had a good night (but refused a rematch).
Seems like like a lot of MMA math.Laughable.

Oh I see, so Ronda is "greater" in the same way Conor would be greater than Anderson.Just clarifying what kind of greatness we're looking at.
On talent, I think Nunes.
On success, and I'm talking big picture success including money, titles, defenses, outside MMA recognition, and impact, I don't think anyone holds a candle to Ronda... yet.
Anderson and Conor get a little more murky.Oh I see, so Ronda is "greater" in the same way Conor would be greater than Anderson.
