I assume Conor will get paid more and I also assume Aldo will get paid more than he's ever been paid for a fight before.
Real answer: No one in this thread has any idea.
Aldo being the champ gets a bigger cut of the pvp share. Which is where most of their money will come from.
That's what I'm thinking. But if it's just a case of "who can bring in the most numbers", why doesn't the UFC just invite Justin Bieber to fight?
It's obviously Conor. He's worth more to the UFC than Aldo.
I don't know, over 10 million dollars for a non-title fight seems extremely exaggerated. Especially since Conor has not actually sold anywhere near the top fighters like GSP, Lesnar, or Ronda. If he was pulling in a million PPV buys a fight maybe, but not currently.
They should get paid the same, with a big bonus for the winner. It's a big fight. Conor is obviously the superstar, but Aldo still has that belt.
That's not quite how it works in the big bad world.
