Who Wins Tony Ferguson vs. Danny Castillo?

I like ferguson, but there's something about Castillo as of late that makes me put my money on him

Castillo is very underrated, could easily be 9-1 in the ufc considering how close he was to finishing barboza/Johnson in the first

i don't know them too well, but looks like a great match. not gonna predict. Oh i remember tony from TUF, where he is talking about his ear, and how he is bullied in his childhood, that guy got some good stand up i think.

He was the most hated guy in the the house, so everyone wanted to take him out but he was knocking them all out haha. Man, I love Tony! Got him by ko!

Gotta go with El Cucuy on this one. He's got the tools to deal with anything Castillo can throw at him but they're sharper.

As for his antics in the house, he's owned up to it and apologized. Since then there's nothing bad to be said of him and he's been a consummate professional. Time to move on.

Ferguson, UD
Better hands, good enough wrestling to keep it standing.

Tony Ferguson is a scum bag piece of shit. You always know what not to say even during a heated argument, and talking about someone's kid to a guy who's locked in a custody battle is pretty low, even by the standards of the drunken meat head riddled tuf house.
That's fighter bashing for one but aside from that you don't know anything about the guy. How do you know the guy he was insulting wasn't a dead beat dad and deserved it?

I'm not a fan of Danny he's about the only alpha male fighter I don't like so hoping Ferguson knocks him out .

El Cucuy is awesome, he should win by KO. Match him up with Cruickshank next and see foot vs fist.

Lol, every thread about him someone brings up TUF. "Where's your kid at huh?! Hhhhhhuuhhhhhhh?! ::drunken slurring:: Where he at?!"

Castillo will be too strong for Ferguson. Castillo UD.

Everyone sleeps on Castillo. He was inches from KO'ing Michael Johnson but went for the submission instead of following up with punches. Remember Johnson stifled the hell out of Ferguson.

He was also inches away from stopping Barboza but ironically punched himself out trying to knock him out cold.

He has gotten much more technical since Ludwig, he also has like 19 fights under zuffa so experience is a plus.

I'm not saying it's a lock but give the man his due.

Castillo is a harder fight than Cruikshank. He's good and all but Ferguson is on another level. Cruikshank is a low-mid tier striker. He controversially squeaked by Edwards and lost to Makdessi pretty soundly IMO.

he did beat Erick koch
although in saying that Erick hasn't looked great since losing his chance at a title shot

I agree that Castillo is a harder stylistic match up. The guy has power in his hands and is able to follow a game plan, as seen in his fight against Njokuani. Still, the LW division is huge and sometimes they set up a Highlander-esque 'there can only be one' new rising prospect match up between similar style competitors. So, I don't think the Cruikshank bout is outside the realm of possibility.

If Ferguson wins he deserves a step up in competition, something Daron Cruickshank is not. Also lol at everyone in the thread that can't let go of some drunken TUF night that happened a long ass time ago. He's apologized and has been nothing but a stand up guy since then.
